The biggest gymnastics meet outside of the Olympics begins this week, the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
NBC, Universal Sports and USA Gymnastics will combine to provide daily coverage of the men’s and women’s competitions.
NBC will air coverage on Oct. 31 from 2:30-4 p.m. ET and Nov. 1 from 12-1:30 p.m. ET, with Al Trautwig and Olympic champions Tim Daggett and Nastia Liukin.
The World Championships will offer a preview of the contenders for the 2016 Olympics.
In 2011, Gabby Douglas made her Worlds debut for the U.S. team that won gold over Russia, just as it would do at the London 2012 Olympics. Douglas went on to win Olympic all-around gold, too.
Two-time defending World all-around champion Simone Biles leads the U.S. women into Glasgow, along with Douglas and another 2012 Olympic champion, Aly Raisman.
On the men’s side, Japan’s Kohei Uchimura is favored to extend his record with a sixth straight World all-around title.
