“The Gabby Douglas Story” premieres on Lifetime on Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
A one-minute trailer has been released, where one can see the actors and actresses who play key figures, such as Douglas, her mother and coach Liang Chow.
The Olympic all-around champion’s life story was filmed in Manitoba and stars Sydney Mikayla and Imani Hakim as Douglas.
Mikayla played Douglas during her early childhood years, and Hakim, 20, played the teenage Douglas.
Hakim is best known from the TV series “Everybody Hates Chris.”
Douglas also appeared in the film.
Regina King from “Southland” played her mother, and Epatha Merkerson from “Law & Order” played her grandmother.
Chow, Douglas’ now former coach, was portrayed by Brian Tee of ”The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”
