London all-around champ Gabby Douglas’s autobiography Grace, Gold & Glory is set to be released Tuesday, which leads to the obvious question of “how did Gabby Douglas write an autobiography when she hasn’t been off camera for 45 consecutive minutes since winning in London?”
The answer is we have no idea, but we imagine it has something to do with Gabby getting help from Michelle Burford, who was a founding editor of Oprah Magazine.
In London Gabby became the first black woman to win the all-around Olympic title and the first American to take home the individual and team gold medal from the same Games.
We’ve yet to read it, but the description says it details her “faith, perserverance, and determination, demonstrating you can reach your dreams if you let yourself soar.”
