The 2026 FIBA World Cup is the biggest international women’s basketball tournament between now and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The U.S., coached by Kara Lawson, enters the tournament on a 66-game win streak between Olympic and World Cup play, its last defeat coming in the 2006 Worlds semifinals to Russia.

The 2026 FIBA World Cup airs on TNT and TruTV and streams on HBO Max.
TNT and TruTV will air 17 of the 36 games, including every U.S. game starting with the opener against China on Friday, Sept. 4, at 8 a.m. ET.
All 36 games will stream live on HBO Max.
When and where is the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup?
The 2026 FIBA World Cup runs from Sept. 4-13 in Berlin, which is six hours ahead of Eastern time.
The knockout stage includes quarterfinals on Sept. 10, semifinals on Sept. 12 and the third-place and championship games on Sept. 13.

The U.S. schedule for the 2026 FIBA World Cup is below:
Sept. 4: USA vs. China (8:15 a.m. ET)
Sept. 6: USA vs. Italy (2:45 p.m. ET)
Sept. 7: USA vs. Czechia (2:45 p.m. ET)
If the U.S. advances, it will play in the quarterfinals on Sept. 10, in the semifinals on Sept. 12 and the final on Sept. 13.
