Olympic bronze medalist figure skater Carolina Kostner did not show up for a Friday hearing over the doping investigation of ex-boyfriend and Olympic champion race walker Alex Schwazer and her possible connections.

Kostner’s lawyer e-mailed before the hearing to say Kostner would skip it. The Italian Olympic Committee said it can scheduled a second hearing for Kostner.

Schwazer tested positive for EPO in 2012, was excluded from the Olympics and banned for four years. Kostner was to be asked about potentially being complicit in Schwazer’s doping when they were together.

Kostner, 27 and the second-oldest women’s figure skating medalist since 1928, previously announced she is sitting out the 2014-15 season. Kostner also won bronze at the World Championships in March.
