Croatian boxer Vido Loncar attacked a referee who stopped his fight at the European Youth Championships in Zagreb on Monday.

Loncar lost to his Lithuanian opponent by technical knockout but obviously did not agree with the referee’s decision.

Before the winner’s announcement, Loncar knocked the referee to the ring floor with one punch and launched several more punches before somebody ringside dragged him out by his feet.

Here’s a short Instagram video of the attack (language warning) and a longer YouTube video.

Loncar was taken into custody and banned for life by Croatia’s Boxing Federation, whose chief secretary called the attack a disgrace to Zagreb and Croatia, according to Croatian media, which also reported the referee was hospitalized with broken ribs.
