The NHL and the NHLPA have decided to educate their players on domestic violence, sexual assault and sexual harassment, per TSN’s Darren Dreger.
According to Dreger, each team will be visited by independent professionals over the next few weeks. The program started on Monday in Buffalo and will run through the month of February.
Three teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets, are already believed to have been given the presentation.
The NHL has been looking to implement this kind of program since last season.
NHL/NHLPA has been working on this initiative since last season and has used the group managing the program to speak in the past to rookies

Some of the league’s players have been involved in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault in the last few years.
Former Kings defenseman Slava Voynov made headlines after he was convicted of domestic violence, while ‘Hawks star Patrick Kane was accused of sexual assault over the off-season.
