  • NO Running Back #25
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Miller can be dropped in all re-draft formats at this point. His recurring hamstring issues coupled with Dennis Allen’s public frustrations regarding Miller’s inability to remain available make him a fantasy non-factor at this time.
  • NO Defensive Back #23
Lattimore strained his hamstring in Week 7’s Thursday Night Football game before re-injuring it in Week 8. He has an uphill battle to play this week. Rookie CB Kool-Aid McKinstry was added to the injury report as a limited participant on Wednesday and likewise went unseen during Thursday’s practice. The Saints already lost Paulson Adebo (femur) for the year. It appears as though the Saints secondary will field a skeleton crew in their Halloween-week, Week 9 game against the Panthers.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #19
Thielen is making progress in his return from injured reserve. With Diontae Johnson now out of town and Xavier Legette being added to the injury report with a toe injury, Thielen may be asked to handle a sizable workload, if active in Week 9. He is only a flex option with Bryce Young under center though.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #17
Midweek Limited Participant injury designations typically indicate the player suffered a new injury in practice. This is a worrying development for Legette, who is currently fending off UDFA upstart Jalen Coker for Diontae Johnson’s vacated No. 1 WR role. We will provide updates on Legette as soon as possible.
  • CAR Running Back #24
This is Brooks’ second consecutive day practicing in full. Dave Canales told reporters last week that Brooks had accomplished the goal they set in Week 8; practicing three days in a row, even in a limited capacity. Canales then explained that Brook will “go hard next week” and that he would “try to get [Brooks] ready” to play in Week 9. Brooks appears to be on track for a Week 9 debut though it is possible they keep him out one more week. He would be a shaky flex option, if active.
  • IND Wide Receiver #11
Like teammate Josh Downs, Pittman is also seeing his workload managed while he deals with his back injury. We should continue to expect light practices for Pittman until his back is no longer of a concern for the team. However, his return on Thursday is a good look for his Week 9 availability against the Vikings.
  • IND Wide Receiver #1
The Colts continue to manage Downs’ workload while he deals with a toe injury that has slowed him the last few weeks. Wednesday’s DNP appears a non-issue for now, as the second-year receiver was back on the field Thursday and should have a chance to play in Week 9 against the Vikings.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Goedert is trending toward missing his third straight game with this hamstring injury. If he’s unable to play, Grant Calcaterra, who caught three passes for 58 yards in last week’s win over the Bengals, would be in line to start. That said, don’t be duped by Calcaterra’s line — he’s seen only four targets in the two games without Goedert this season. He’s best left on the waiver wire even if he does start.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Head coach John Harbaugh said Jackson’s absence on Wednesday was due to rest, but there won’t be any downplaying two straight missed practices with knee/back issues. Lamar and the Ravens get the Broncos in Week 9 and then have a quick turnaround to prepare for the Bengals on Thursday night in Week 10. We won’t press the panic alarm just yet, but Friday’s practice will prove very important for Jackson’s Week 9 availability.
  • TB Running Back #7
As a result of this lingering issue, Bowles said the team will “limit him during the weeks so that he can play in the games.” In other words, don’t expect to see many reports of Irving being a full participant in many practices going forward. We’ve seen toe/foot injuries that start as minor worsen when players attempt to play through them. Irving is clearly going to attempt to play through whatever ailment he is dealing with, but considering this recent piece of news, fantasy managers rostering Sean Tucker should continue to hold him despite his light workload over the last two weeks.
