    Giants waived WR Dalen Cambre.
Cambre caught 2-of-5 targets for 45 yards in two preseason games. The Giants also released WR Da’Quan Felton, OL Stone Forsythe, DL Jeremiah Ledbetter, DL Jordon Riley and K Jude McAtamney. The Giants also placed RB Eric Gray and OLB Victor Dimukeje on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. They will be eligible to return after four games.
  • NYG EDGE #52
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reports Giants EDGE Victor Dimukeje will “miss time” after suffering a torn pectoral in offseason workouts.
This is a terribly unfortunate development for a player who found his groove as a rotational pass rusher over the last two years. The Giants signed Dimukeje to a one-year, $1.17 million contract this offseason, after the former sixth-round pick strung together two efficient seasons with the Cardinals. Dimukeje averaged a 17.0 percent pass-rush win rate and a 16.0 percent quarterback pressure rate while tallying five sacks and 33 quarterback pressures from 2023-2024. Dimukeje’s recovery timeline is currently unknown. Should he return this season, he will serve as a capable part-time player in the Giants’ loaded EDGE rotation.
  • NYG Outside Linebacker #52
Cardinals selected Duke EDGE Victor Dimukeje with the No. 210 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
A wildly productive collegiate player, Dimukeje (6'1/262) recorded 166 tackles, 36.0 TFL and 21.5 sacks over his career with the Blue Devils. His sack mark remains the second-highest total in Duke history, as the broad-shouldered bull rusher had a penchant for creating havoc in opposing backfields. He lacks a diverse arsenal in his rush, but his lower body strength, sound technique, and heavy hands caused problems for ACC tackles for the last four years. Strong at the point of attack but lacking the straight line speed to chase down ball carriers on the perimeter, Dimukeje best comps to Miami DE Emmanual Ogbah.

  • NYG Outside Linebacker #52
According to Pro Football Focus, Duke senior DE Victor Dimukeje has 16 QB pressures this season, which leads the Power Five.
Teammate Chris Rumph is the Duke pass-rusher most analysts have their eyes on, but Dimukeje is a player in his own right. Though Dimukeje (6'3/265) does have an advantage over a lot of players right now in that Duke has played three games, racking up 16 pressures thus far is still a testament to his consistent production. Dimukeje has converted four of those pressures into sacks so far, which is a pretty solid conversion rate if he can keep it up for the rest of the season.

  • NYG Outside Linebacker #52
Duke received a verbal commitment from three-star 2017 DE Victor Dimukeje.
“I had the relationship with them for a long time,” Dimukeje explained. “It wasn’t just the football. It was the academics. It’s a prestigious university, and I know that football doesn’t last forever. That degree means a lot.” The 6-foot-1, 254-pound native of Baltimore sided with the Blue Devils over Michigan State, Virginia Tech and Pitt. Scout.com ranks him as the No. 15 defensive end prospect in the East region. While he is undersized and will need to pack on bulk once he joins HC David Cutcliffe’s crew, Dimukeje already has the requisite motor.
