Titans acquired DB Ugochukwu Amadi from the Eagles.
The two teams are swapping 2024 late-round picks. Amadi spends a total of 10 days in Philly after coming over from the Seahawks in the trade for JJ Arcega-Whiteside. He’ll now head to Tennessee and compete for a roster spot over the next five days ahead of final cuts.

  • FA Wide Receiver #82
Seahawks acquired WR/TE JJ Arcega-Whiteside from the Eagles in exchange for DB Ugochukwu Amadi.
Seattle announced Arcega-Whiteside as a wide receiver, which is notable after he tried making the switch to tight end in Philly this offseason. They’ll reportedly use him in a “hybrid” role, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson. JJAW was the 57th overall pick in the 2019 draft and was likely not going to make the team in Philly. The Stanford product heads back to the West Coast where he’ll try to revive his career.

  • NO Defensive Back #27
Eagles acquired DB Ugochukwu Amadi from the Seahawks in exchange for WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside.
Amadi and JJAW were both 2019 draft picks and were on the outside looking in at roster spots for their respective clubs. Amadi has appeared in 47 games in three seasons for Seattle, making 12 starts. He can function at slot corner and safety and will look to win a roster spot in Philly over the next couple weeks before Week 1.

  • NO Defensive Back #27
Seahawks slot CB Ugo Amadi (hamstring) is doubtful for Week 8 against the 49ers.
Seahawks S Jamal Adams (questionable) only managed to get in a limited practice this week and top CB Shaq Griffin is out. The Seattle defense is extremely thin in the secondary and at edge rusher right now, setting up the 49ers for a plus matchup while likely chasing points.

  • NO Defensive Back #27
Seahawks selected Oregon S Ugo Amadi with the No. 132 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Amadi (5’9/199) made 34 starts in the Ducks’ secondary, tallying 9.5 career TFLs with 33 pass breakups, eight picks, and four forced fumbles. Amadi won the 2018 Lombardi Award as college football’s top player based on “performance and leadership honed by character and resiliency.” Unfortunately, Amadi managed 12th-percentile SPARQ results at the Combine with 4.51 speed and a sluggish 7.21 three-cone time. A good college player lacking NFL-caliber traits, Amadi best projects as a gung-ho special teamer. The Hawks also added lightning-quick S Marquise Blair to compete in their secondary on Day Two.
