    Cardinals waived RB Ty’Son Williams.
The Cardinals carry three running backs into the regular season, with only Keaontay Ingram and Emari Demercado available behind starter James Conner. Conner remains one of the few borderline workhorse running backs left in the league. Also released or waived were LB David Anenih, WR Andre Baccellia, DL Eric Banks, OL Jackson Barton, QB David Blough, LS Aaron Brewer, S Kendell Brooks, OL Cole Cabral, S Andre Chachere, RB Corey Clement, WR Brian Cobbs, WR Davion Davis, WR Kaden Davis, QB Jeff Driskel, TE Joel Honingford, OL Hayden Howerton, S JuJu Hughes, OL Braylon Jones, DL Rashard Lawrence, LB Zach McCloud, CB Bobby Price, RB Stevie Scott, TE Bernhard Seikovits, DL Jacob Slade, WR Brandon Smith, OL Lecitus Smith, LB Kyle Soelle, TE Noah Togiai, OL Badara Traore and CB Quavian White.

    Cardinals signed RB Ty’Son Williams.
After bouncing from the Ravens to the Colts, Williams now finds himself in Arizona after injuries to James Conner and Darrel Williams. The Cardinals worked out a number of running backs after Week 5 and decided to bring in Williams. It’s possible at this time that Williams is only on the practice squad for now.

  • FA Running Back #22
    Colts waived RB Ty’Son Williams.
Pro Football Newtork’s Aaron Wilson noted that Williams is expected to join the Colts’ practice squad. Williams had an impressive summer with the Ravens in 2021, but things quickly fizzled out during the regular season. Despite the team’s injury woes, he was made a healthy scratch multiple times throughout the year.

  • FA Running Back #30
    Colts released RB Phillip Lindsay.
Lindsay, who turned 28 in July, is unlikely to land with any time that sees him as more than backfield depth. Lindsay averaged a measly 2.8 yards per carry in 2021 with the Dolphins and Texans. Ty’Son Williams has a chance to be the Colts’ No. 3 back behind Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines.

  • FA Running Back #22
Colts signed RB Ty’Son Williams, formerly of the Ravens.
Williams flashed early in the 2021 season after the Ravens lost J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards to season-ending knee injuries during training camp. Some key missed blitz pickups pushed Williams into the doghouses of Ravens coaches. He never emerged, serving as an emergency backup for Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman. Williams, who averaged 5.4 yards per carry and 9.3 yards per catch during his short time as Baltimore’s starter, could be intriguing if the Colts struggle with running back injuries in 2022.

  • FA Running Back #22
Ravens withdrew their exclusive rights free agent tender on RB Ty’Son Williams, making him a free agent.
Despite how good he looked on paper in Baltimore -- 5.3 yards per carry, 9.3 yards per reception -- the Ravens really didn’t seem interested in using Williams. He was quickly papered over in veterans last season, receiving just eight carries after Week 3, and they appear to have chosen Mike Davis over him now. 26 in September, Williams will look to catch on elsewhere.

  • FA Running Back #22
    Ravens re-signed Ty’Son Williams to a one-year contract.
Williams was tendered as an ERFA. He was credited as Baltimore’s starting running back in each of the team’s first three games. However, he was phased out of the game-plan in the third game and healthy scratched the following week. Williams recorded eight carries throughout the remainder of the year. If he makes the final roster, Williams will be buried behind J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards this year.

  • MIA Quarterback #18
Ravens re-signed QB Tyler Huntley to a one-year contract.
Trystan Colon, Nick Moore, Geno Stone, Kristian Welch, and Ty’Son Williams were also re-signed. Huntley and the rest of the players were ERFAs. Baltimore tendered them meaning all will return on one-year deals. Huntley started four games while applying the bulk of a fifth contest last year. He threw three touchdowns and four interceptions but also rushed for two scores and 294 yards. Huntley looked like a typical backup but his rushing ability makes it easy to keep the offense unchanged whenever Lamar Jackson is forced from the lineup. Though there’s no quarterback controversy in Baltimore, Huntley is a valuable piece of the roster because of his skill set.

  • FA Running Back #22
Ravens declared RB Ty’Son Williams, TE Nick Boyle, WR Miles Boykin, OLB Jaylon Ferguson, and CB Chris Westry inactive for Week 13 against the Steelers.
Williams has been completely phased out of the Baltimore offense over the past month and a half, culminating in this healthy scratch. Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray will split the workload in a favorable matchup against the Steelers rush defense.

  • FA Running Back #22
Ty’Son Williams did not record a carry or target in the Ravens’ Week 9 win against the Vikings.
Williams logged 18 snaps, just five fewer than Le’Veon Bell, who had 11 rushes for 48 yards and a touchdown against Minnesota. Not trusted by Ravens coaches and relegated to a backup role behind Bell and Devonta Freeman, Williams won’t have fantasy relevance unless Freeman or Bell miss time.
