Tyson Thompson rushed ten times for 64 yards Saturday.
The undrafted free agent is making a name for himself in Cowboys camp. There are whispers that he could take Anthony Thomas’ roster spot. Thomas only carried the ball once Saturday.
  • DAL Running Back
Cowboys RB Tyson Thompson carried ten times for 45 yards Monday.
With Demetris Summers on the waiver wire, Thompson probably has the No. 3 running back job locked up. Keylon Kincade didn’t play in the game.
  • DAL Running Back
Tyson Thompson has made the Dallas roster.
He’s the fourth running back unless Anthony Thomas is a surprise cut. Thompson becomes the first player from Irving to earn a spot on the Cowboys’ roster.
  • DAL Running Back
Tyson Thompson rushed the ball 20 times for 75 yards against Philly, exclusively in the second half.
Julius Jones carried the ball 16 times for 72 yards in the first half and did not return after halftime due to a leg injury. Thomson got all his carries after the break -- coach Bill Parcells decided to go with him over Anthony Thomas, who finished with five yards on four carries.
  • DAL Running Back
Coach Bill Parcells said yesterday that he plans to use Tyson Thompson as the Cowboys’ backup running back Sunday.
He’ll decide between Marion Barber and Anthony Thomas for the third spot.
  • DAL Running Back
Tyson Thompson rushed three times for 13 yards in week six.
Tough to predict this one. Thompson had three early carries and didn’t see the ball again. Anthony Thomas and Marion Barber both got double-digit carries. It’s impossible to predict what Bill Parcells will do next week if Julius Jones is out again.
  • DAL Running Back
Tyson Thompson took snaps with the first team at Cowboys practice Wednesday.
Coach Bill Parcells is holding out hope that Julius Jones will play, but hasn’t decided what he’ll do otherwise. “I’m going to look at the practice film (for Thursday) and then look at the practice film Friday and then Saturday night we’ll decide who’s playing,” Parcells said.
  • DAL Running Back
Coach Bill Parcells declined to say that RB Tyson Thompson would start Sunday if RB Julius Jones (ankle) can’t go.
“You’re not going to know until Sunday,” Parcells said. “No matter who you ask because no one knows. Because the answer isn’t there. I don’t know which one it’s going to be.” He knows, and it’s Thompson.
  • DAL Running Back
Coach Bill Parcells Tyson Thompson was demoted because of mental errors during Saturday’s walk-through.
He said Thompson made three mental errors out of 11 plays. He went on to say that his trust level was lower with Thompson now than Marion Barber. Nothing would surprise us in Dallas, but Thompson doesn’t have value if he stays at fourth on the depth chart.
  • DAL Running Back
Tyson Thompson rushed four times for 19 yards against the Cardinals.
The rookie was Marion Barber’s sole backup today -- Anthony Thomas did not see any carries. Now that Barber has emerged as the clear backup, Thompson has lost some value.
