  • PHI Defensive End #72
Eagles DL Moro Ojomo and WR Tyrie Cleveland were both backboarded from Thursday’s preseason game against the Browns with neck injuries.
Scary, though both players were reported to have feeling in their extremities. The backboard is usually “just” a precaution, though it obviously always denotes a potentially serious situation. Thankfully in this case, it would seem both players have avoided truly serious injury.
  • FA Wide Receiver #16
Broncos declared WR Tyrie Cleveland, OLB Jonathon Cooper, CB Darius Phillips, RT Billy Turner, OG Quinn Meinerz, DL Eyioma Uwazurike, and WR Jalen Virgil inactive for Week 4 against the Raiders.
No real surprises here, as five of these guys had already been ruled out with injuries.

  • Tackle #54
Broncos declared OT Billy Turner (knee) inactive for Week 3’s game against San Francisco.
Turner has struggled with the knee injury dating back to camp and still isn’t ready to set foot on the field against the 49ers. Cameron Fleming will protect the blindside for Russell Wilson against San Francisco’s pass rush. Also inactive for the Broncos are: WR Jalen Virgil, WR Tyrie Cleveland (hamstring), CB Darius Phillips (hamstring), S Delarrin Turner-Yell, OLB Jonathon Cooper (hamstring), and DL Eyioma Uwazurike

  • FA Wide Receiver #16
Broncos WR Tyrie Cleveland caught 2-of-3 targets for 28 yards in Week 2’s win over the Texans.
He finished second on the team in receiving yards despite dropping an easy target. Yes, it’s exactly as bad as that sounded. Cleveland could be pushed into more snaps if Jerry Jeudy (shoulder) is sidelined and KJ Hamler can’t make it back for Week 3, but he’ll be a cheap DFS play at best.

  • FA Wide Receiver #16
Broncos declared WR Tyrie Cleveland, QB Jeff Driskel, CB Kevin Toliver, LB Joseph Jones, G Netane Muti, and OT Jake Rodgers inactive for Week 10 against the Raiders.
The Broncos get Bryce Callahan and A.J. Bouye back this week after getting ravaged by Matt Ryan without them last week. Derek Carr gets a considerably more difficult matchup with Denver’s top corners both healthy but remains a viable QB2 with QB1 upside. Jerry Jeudy is also active, as expected.

  • FA Wide Receiver #16
Broncos selected Florida WR Tyrie Cleveland with the No. 252 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Cleveland (6'2/209) was a part-time starter over his four years in Gainesville, underwhelming with a career 79/1,271/8 receiving line with the Gators. His above-average length (32 7/8") and sky-high vertical (39 1/2") are outstanding traits to have for a player who towers over most corners, but the reality is Cleveland averaged a poor 1.65 yards per route run, not to mention unreliable hands, in his collegiate career. PFF charted him with as many drops (10) as broken tackles (10) in his four years at Florida. Overall, Cleveland hasn’t proven himself as an explosive offensive weapon, but his special teams abilities might keep him on the Broncos’ roster.
