Broncos selected Florida WR Tyrie Cleveland with the No. 252 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Cleveland (6'2/209) was a part-time starter over his four years in Gainesville, underwhelming with a career 79/1,271/8 receiving line with the Gators. His above-average length (32 7/8") and sky-high vertical (39 1/2") are outstanding traits to have for a player who towers over most corners, but the reality is Cleveland averaged a poor 1.65 yards per route run, not to mention unreliable hands, in his collegiate career. PFF charted him with as many drops (10) as broken tackles (10) in his four years at Florida. Overall, Cleveland hasn’t proven himself as an explosive offensive weapon, but his special teams abilities might keep him on the Broncos’ roster.
