    Eagles waived RB Trey Sermon.
It’s possible Sermon returns to the Eagles by way of the practice squad after the team waived him with an injury designation. Sermon rushed 30 times for 105 yards and three touchdowns this season but also lost a key fumble in the second preseason game against the Browns. In addition to Sermon, the Browns also released/waived WR Devon Allen, LB Quinton Bell, QB Ian Book, RB Kennedy Brooks, DT Robert Cooper, WR Britain Covey, CB Mekhi Garner, OG Julian Good-Jones, WR Jadon Haselwood, DE Tarron Jackson, TE Tyree Jackson, LB Kyron Johnson, WR Johnny King, LB Tyreek Maddox-Williams, S Tristin McCollum, LB Nicholas Morrow, WR Joseph Ngata, DE Janarius Robinson, OG Tyrese Robinson, TE Brady Russell, DT Olive Sagapolu, DT Caleb Sanders, CB Josiah Scott, OG Josh Sills, P Arryn Siposs, WR Freddie Swain, LB B en VanSumeren, S K’Von Wallace, WR Greg Ward, and DT Marvin Wilson.
  • WAS Tight End #83
Eagles TE Tyree Jackson signed his exclusive rights tender.
Jackson, a giant at 6'7", has struggled through a multitude of injuries over the past couple seasons, including an ACL tear that kept him sidelined for most of 2022. Jackson has three catches on seven targets in 14 regular season games since the start of the 2021 season.

  • WAS Tight End #83
Eagles placed TE Tyree Jackson (knee) on injured reserve.
Jackson spent the first 10 weeks on PUP recovering from a knee injury. He was limited to five games before a second knee injury ended his season. Jackson going on IR means Jack Stoll and rookie TE Grant Calcaterra will close out the year behind Dallas Goedert.

  • WAS Tight End #83
Eagles TE Tyree Jackson wasn’t targeted in Week 11 against the Colts.
Jackson was making his debut after spending the first 10 weeks on PUP. With Dallas Goedert sidelined, Jackson split snaps with Jack Stoll and rookie TE Grant Calcaterra. His only notable play was an OPI penalty that wiped out a 20+ yard catch in the first half. Jackson should remain limited to a committee role for a matchup with the Packers in Week 12.

  • PHI Tight End #88
Eagles placed TE Dallas Goedert (shoulder) on injured reserve.
The news keeps getting worse for Goedert after he suffered a serious shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of Philly’s Week 10 loss to the Commanders. The Eagles will be without their stud tight end for at least the next four weeks. Goedert had commanded 21 percent of the team’s targets through Week 10. TE Tyree Jackson, who was activated from the PUP list on Wednesday, could fill in for Goedert, or split time with Jack Stoll.

  • WAS Tight End #83
Eagles activated TE Tyree Jackson (ACL) from the PUP list.
A converted quarterback with athleticism to spare, Jackson should be considered the favorite to replace Dallas Goedert (shoulder), who on Wednesday was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least the next four games. Jackson in Week 18 last season was targeted four times on 27 pass routes, catching three for 22 yards and a touchdown. Jackson is a sneaky waiver add in deeper formats. Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra will mix in at tight end too.

  • WAS Tight End #83
Eagles TE Tyree Jackson (ACL) will start training camp on the PUP list.
The hyper-athletic tight end -- a converted quarterback -- tore his ACL in Week 18 against the Cowboys after catching three passes for 22 yards and a touchdown (Dallas Goedert was out with COVID-19). Jackson was seen doing light work during the team’s OTAs this spring. When fully healthy, Jackson should be the Eagles’ No. 2 tight end behind Goedert. He won’t have fantasy value unless Goedert misses time in 2022.

  • WAS Tight End #83
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the MRI revealed Eagles TE Tyree Jackson suffered a torn ACL in the Week 18 loss to the Cowboys.
Just a brutal development for Jackson, who successfully made the conversion from college quarterback to NFL tight end over the past calendar year. He missed the first eight weeks of the season with a broken bone in his back and now faces a long recovery from ACL surgery after going 3-22-1 on five targets against Dallas Saturday night. It was his first real look at tight end with Dallas Goedert on the COVID list. Jackson will miss valuable offseason reps, clouding his roster status.

  • WAS Tight End #83
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Eagles TE Tyree Jackson is believed to have avoided a torn ACL in Philadelphia’s Week 18 loss to the Cowboys.
The 24-year-old converted quarterback’s first career catches, including a touchdown, came before he left the game on Saturday. The Eagles supposedly have high hopes for Jackson behind Dallas Goedert going forward after trading Zach Ertz, though he had only two targets all year entering this evening. He dealt with broken bones in his back earlier this season. Something short of a torn ACL would give Jackson an opportunity to be 100 percent healthy well in advance of next summer’s training camp. The 6-foot-7 seam stretcher is an end-of-bench stash in deeper Dynasty leagues.

  • PHI Tight End #88
Dallas Goedert, Boston Scott, and Jordan Howard are among Eagles players who remained on the reserve/COVID-19 list and won’t play in Week 18.
The Eagles will mostly play second and third stringers on Saturday night against Dallas in what it essentially a meaningless game. Without Howard and Scott, Kenneth Gainwell and Jason Huntley will be the only active Philadelphia running backs. Tyree Jackson is expected to be the team’s main pass-catching tight end with Goedert out. Godspeed to those making single-game DFS lineups for this matchup.
