The Nashville Post’s John Glennon said it’s “hard to imagine” Tyler Boyd returning to the Titans in 2025.
Boyd, who followed former Bengals OC Brian Callahan to Tennessee last offseason, had a meager 39 catches for 390 yards over 16 games in 2024 — his lowest totals since 2017. Boyd, 30, will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. His best bet for more playing time and opportunities would likely be a team without much wideout depth, though that describes the 2024 Titans pretty accurately.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Titans ruled out Tyler Boyd (foot) for Week 18 against the Texans.
Boyd closes his ninth NFL season having caught 39-of-56 targets for 390 scoreless yards. The 30-year-old wide receiver is scheduled to hit free agency this offseason and although an NFL team could sign him as a depth piece, Boyd is unlikely to be worth more than a late-round best ball pick for fantasy purposes. His per-route efficiency badly dropped off this season. Boyd earned targets on just 13.1 percent of routes while averaging a measly 0.91 yards per route run.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd (foot) did not participant in Thursday’s practice.
Boyd dealt with a foot injury but was still able to play in Week 17 against the Jaguars. The 30-year-old veteran will likely need to get in at least one session — even if it’s limited — to have a chance to play Sunday against the Texans There won’t be any fantasy relevancy, either way.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd caught 2-of-4 targets for 14 yards in the Titans’ Week 17 loss to the Jaguars.
Boyd was questionable to play due to a foot injury but wound up playing after not practicing all week. He was once again operating out of the slot, snagging a pair of seven-yard receptions on the day. Boyd’s role in the lackluster Titans offense does not yield much fantasy upside and he should remain out of fantasy consideration for Week 18 against the Texans.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Titans WR Tyler Boyd (foot) is active for Week 17 against the Jaguars.
Boyd entered the weekend questionable after three straight days of not practicing this week. He will suit up against the Jaguars, though his role is not fantasy-friendly. The Titans declared K Nick Folk, WR Jha’Quan Jackson, RB Tony Pollard, S Amani Hooker, LB Otis Reese IV, G Dillon Radunz, and T Nicholas Petit-Frere inactive for Week 17 against the Jaguars. Pollard is the most significant inactive as he was ruled out Saturday due to the flu. Tyjae Spears will be an RB2 starting in his place.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd (foot) is questionable for Week 17 against the Jaguars.
Boyd’s multi-week foot injury is evidently failing to improve. He may end up suiting up this week but Boyd was failing to meaningfully produce even when healthy earlier this season. He does not need to be started, if active.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd caught 2-of-3 targets for 20 yards in the Titans’ Week 16 loss to the Colts.
Boyd was outside the Titans’ top-four pass-catching options, falling low on the receiving ladder. High-volume passing games could see Boyd get high-value targets, but his share of the offense is too low for him to be on fantasy radars. Keep Boyd out of fantasy championship lineups for Week 17.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd (foot) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 16 against the Colts.
Boyd has been playing through this foot injury for multiple weeks. It’s possible he sneaks into the WR4/5 ranks with Mason Rudolph under center but he can only be considered a low-ceiling WR6/7 pre-kickoff.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd (foot) did not practice on Wednesday.
The Titans continue to give Boyd the day off on Wednesday though he is doing little with the extra day of rest, totaling fewer than 40 receiving yards in each of his last three games. He is a touchdown-dependent dart throw who has not yet scored a touchdown this season.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd caught 2-of-3 targets for 39 yards in the Titans’ Week 15 loss to the Bengals.
Boyd had another quiet stat-line, with the bulk of his production coming from a first half 40-yard reception. His only other catch was for a loss of a yard and he remains unproductive for fantasy purposes. Boyd should only be on fantasy radars in deeper leagues.
