Browns signed DL Trysten Hill, formerly of the Cardinals.
Terms weren’t announced but it would be surprising if this wasn’t a one-year deal. Hill was a draft bust for the Cowboys as the 58th overall pick in 2019, getting waived after the trade deadline last season. The Cardinals wound up playing him in six games as a rotational lineman before Hill sprained his knee in Week 16. He’ll likely just be depth in Cleveland barring them being able to get something out of him neither the Cardinals nor Cowboys were able to.

Cardinals placed DL Trysten Hill (knee) on injured reserve.
Hill suffered a knee sprain in Week 16. It doesn’t sound like a serious issue, but with just two weeks left, a stay on injured reserve ends his season. Hill earned one sack and five TFLs across two teams this year. He will be a free agent in the spring.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Cardinals DL Trysten Hill suffered a sprained knee in Sunday’s Week 16 loss to the Buccaneers.
Hill was carted off in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Bucs, leading some to believe his injury was far more serious than diagnosed. He’s considered day to day by the team, but with two weeks left in what’s a lost season for the Cardinals, it will be interesting to see whether or not the team opts to roll him out in either of its next two games.

Cardinals DL Trysten Hill was carted to the locker room with a leg injury in Week 16 against the Buccaneers.
Hill was rolled up on late in the second quarter and was immediately carted to the locker room. His return is questionable.

    Cowboys waived DT Trysten Hill.
There’s no kind way to say it: Hill was a disaster as the 58th overall pick in the draft. He didn’t finish with a PFF grade above 58 in four seasons with the club and they barely kept him in their rotation. The team reportedly tried to shop him at the deadline before moving on. His physical traits might catch enough attention to be claimed as depth by another team.

Cowboys placed DT Trysten Hill and DT Osa Odighizuwa on Reserve/Covid list,
The Cowboys will be without two interior defensive linemen on Sunday, which could, maybe just maybe, open up some running room for Saquon Barkley. It could also give Mike Glennon more time to throw and more time under center before inevitably being replaced by Jake Fromm.

Cowboys DT Trysten Hill’s suspension has been reduced to one game by NFL-NFLPA appeals officer Derrick Brooks.
Hill was originally suspended for two games for punching Raiders OG John Simpson after Dallas’ Week 12 game. His sentence has been reduced, so he will now be back for Week 14. Hill has appeared in three games this year and played 45% of snaps against the Raiders on Thanksgiving.

NFL suspended Cowboys DT Trysten Hill two games for engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct following the Week 12 loss to the Raiders.
Hill open-hand punched Raiders OG John Simpson after the game when the two were in a heated argument at midfield. Hill was seeking out Simpson. The 2019 second-round pick played 45% of the defensive snaps against the Raiders and has appeared in three games this season.

Cowboys declared S Darian Thompson, S Donovan Wilson, LB Luke Gifford, C Adam Redmond, OL Brandon Knight, DT Trysten Hill and DL Taco Charlton inactive for Week 1 against the Giants.
Both Hill and Charlton are inactive, indicating the Cowboys must feel good about their defensive line depth. The team is very healthy, although Byron Jones (hip) is expected to be limited.

Cowboys selected UCF DT Trysten Hill with the No. 58 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Hill (6’3/305) turned pro as a true junior after a falling out with UCF’s new coaching staff, starting only one game in 2018 but still tallying career highs in tackles for loss (10.5) and sacks (3) as one of the American Conference’s top interior defensive linemen. Hill’s talent was never in doubt, however, and he blew up the Combine with the fourth-highest SPARQ score among players invited at his position. With first-round-caliber tape and athleticism, Hill offers Pro Bowl upside if coaches can get him to fully buy in.
