Trevor Siemian completed 8-of-20 passes for 70 yards in the Jets’ 17-3, Week 18 win over the Patriots.
Stashed deep on the roster all season as the Jets tried to make do without Aaron Rodgers, 32-year-old Siemian was highly unimpressive once he was finally forced on the field for three starts. Headed back to free agency, Siemian is not going to open 2024 as anyone’s No. 2 quarterback.
  • NYJ Quarterback #2
Zach Wilson remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol and will be inactive for Week 18 against the Patriots.
Wilson will miss the season’s final three games with a brain injury. Trevor Siemian will remain under center for New York. He has peppered Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall with targets over the past two games; that’ll likely continue in Week 18.
  • NYJ Quarterback #14
Trevor Siemian completed 32-of-45 attempts for 261 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Jets’ 37-20 Week 17 loss against the Browns, adding four rushes for 13 yards.
Siemian continued his check down ways in this one, targeting Breece Hall nine times. He threw ten passes to Garrett Wilson in another pass-heavy game script. Siemian threw a terrible pick six in the first quarter, his only truly bad play of the game. Siemian has hardly been great in two starts for the Jets, but he has been functional and kept Wilson and Hall alive for fantasy purposes. That’s all we can ask for. He’ll face the Patriots in Week 18.
  • NYJ Quarterback #14
Trevor Siemian completed 27-of-49 passes for 217 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the Jets’ 30-28, Week 16 win over the Commanders.
Siemian was set up nicely today as the Jets’ defense got multiple turnovers early to aid the offense. He capitalized early hitting Jason Brownlee for an eight-yard touchdown. In the second half Siemian was rather conservative throwing as the Jets gave up a 27-7 lead. Siemian drove the team back down for a game-winning field goal.
  • NYJ Quarterback #14
Trevor Siemian will start in Week 16 against the Commanders.
Zach Wilson suffered a concussion in Week 15 and will not suit up this week. Siemian will be the fourth quarterback to start for the Jets this year. He has seen some action late in two games this season and the results haven’t been pretty. Siemian has two interceptions on 39 attempts. He has averaged 4.5 yards per attempt. Per usual, the Jets are a fantasy wasteland. Sheer volume has Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall clinging to life as the season mercifully nears an end for them.
  • NYJ Quarterback #2
Zach Wilson (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 16 against the Commanders.
Wilson will sit after sustaining a brain injury in last week’s loss to the Dolphins. That means Trevor Siemian will likely get the start for the down-bad Jets against an equally down-bad Commanders club. Washington’s defense is a solid option in all fantasy formats with Siemian under center.
  • NYJ Quarterback #2
The Athletic’s Zach Rosenblatt believes Zach Wilson (concussion) “seems unlikely” to play in Week 16 against the Commanders.
Wilson sustained a brain injury last week against the Dolphins and has since entered the NFL’s concussion protocol. With the Jets’ torturous season over and Wilson unable to practice on Wednesday, look for Trevor Siemian to get the start against Washington. Rosenblatt doesn’t like Siemian’s chances of getting through an entire game, with his off-target percentage (28.2 percent) being the worst of 56 quarterbacks with at least 35 pass attempts this season. New York’s catastrophic QB situation makes the Washington defense an interesting fantasy option in Week 16, if managers can stomach such a play.
  • NYJ Quarterback #14
Trevor Siemian completed 14-of-26 passes for 110 yards and two interceptions in the Jets’ 30-0, Week 15 loss to the Dolphins.
Siemian also lost a fumble. Forced on by a Zach Wilson concussion late in the first half with the Jets trailing 24-0, Siemian did not provide a spark. Quite the opposite, in fact, even with the Dolphins able to lay back and play soft coverage. With Wilson questionable for Week 16 against the Commanders’ awful defense, Siemian’s presence would be a major downgrade for Garrett Wilson and company in a plus matchup.
  • NYJ Quarterback #2
Jets coach Robert Saleh said Zach Wilson will start in Week 14 against the Texans.
Tim Boyle got two starts over Wilson before being absurdly cut earlier this week. Trevor Siemian took Boyle’s place in the lineup during the fourth quarter of the Jets’ Week 13 loss to the Falcons. He didn’t fare any better than Boyle, so Saleh is now going back to Wilson as his team’s season circles the drain. Wilson was reportedly reluctant to retake the starting gig after being benched, but it’s hard for him to justify turning down a starting job at this point in his career. Per usual, the Jets’ offense will struggle to put up points, crippling the output of Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson versus Houston.
  • NYJ Quarterback #2
Jets HC Robert Saleh said he’s not ready to announce a Week 14 starter against the Texans.
Speaking Monday, Saleh declined to name a starter for next week’s game and commented on earlier reports of Zach Wilson being “reluctant” to play, saying, “Let’s be clear, if he were reluctant to play, he wouldn’t be here.” There could be some truth to that, but Wilson being unwilling to suit up for a coach who has attempted to replace and bench him — while deserved, isn’t all that surprising. The offensive line is also a disaster, and the season is all but lost. Wilson opting to sit out and preserve his health heading into the offseason for whatever future his career holds makes some sense. The Jets are 4-8 and arguably the worst offense team of the last 20 years. Whoever gets the start won’t have any fantasy relevance beyond the skill position players they’re negatively impacting.
