Trent Green looked sharp in his preseason debut, finishing 7-of-11 for 111 yards and 1 TD.
This was despite missing his top three wide receivers. We’ve said it before. Draft Trent Green this season.

Trent Green and the rest of the K.C starters will play 25 plays this weekend.
Kansas City may play their starters more this weekend than any team except Tennessee. Coach Vermeil wants to see improvement over last week’s rough outing versus Cleveland.

Coach Dick Vermeil said Trent Green and Priest Holmes in particular would see more time tonight.
“We will play them a little more,” Vermeil said. “I have not talked to the staff yet, but my basic thought is to play the first half.”

Trent Green sat out practice Thursday, but is expected to return to the field on Saturday.
He’s listed as questionable. We’ll be concerned if he misses practice, but all indications are that Green will be fine despite his sore ribs.

Trent Green, questionable with sore ribs, practiced Friday.
“He said he felt good,” coach Dick Vermeil said Friday. Vermeil said he “thinks” Green will start, but he wanted to talk to his coaches first. Vermeil will announce it officially on Saturday, but Green should start. He’s a good play versus the Raiders.

Trent Green is having another excellent training camp.
Green wowed coaches all summer, who said he never looked in more command of the offense. He had a dominating performance in this weekend’s scrimmage despite missing his top three receivers. Green remains our favorite fantasy QB target, a perfect fifth-rounder.

Trent Green believes the extra rest he’s received during training camp will help.
''What a huge difference it’s made,” Green said. “My arm feels a lot more alive at this point and time in camp.’'

ESPN’s John Clayton reports the Raiders intend to draft Calvin Johnson with the No. 1 pick if the Dolphins acquire Trent Green from Kansas City.
Clayton’s theory is that the whole top part of the draft depends on the future of Trent Green. If Green goes to Miami, Daunte Culpepper will be cut and Oakland would then sign him. Clayton says if a Green trade can’t be worked out, the Raiders will be forced to draft JaMarcus Russell.

Trent Green left Sunday’s game on a stretcher after an apparent head injury.
Green lay motionless after taking a hard blow to the head from Bengals DE Robert Geathers in the third quarter. Kansas City’s offensive line could not protect Green - whose white uniform was the color of grass by the time of his injury - all day. Green did have feeling in his hands as he was treated in the Chiefs’ locker room.
