Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline writes that Georgia Tech redshirt sophomore CB Tre Swilling “next-level size and athleticism and flashes ball skills.”
While Pauline currently assigns Swilling a third-round grade for next spring should he declare, the analyst believes the 6-foot, 200-pound redshirt sophomore has a chance to bang on the Day 1 door with strong continued development. This past season, the former four-star recruit posted 24 tackles with a sack, an interception, six passes defensed and a fumble forced across 12 games played (11 starts). His father, Pat Swilling, was a standout performer for Georgia Tech during the 80’s -- he holds the single-season program sack record with 15 -- and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009.
