Steelers declared EDGE T.J. Watt active for Week 18 against the Ravens.
Watt isn’t expected to get his usual amount of snaps, but the future Hall of Famer will be able to held as a pass-rusher in sub-packages in the winner-take-all game. The Steelers inactives for Week 18 will be WR Roman Wilson, QB Will Howard, RB Kaleb Johnson, CB Tre Flowers, LB Jeremiah Moon and OT Jack Driscoll.
  • DET Cornerback #37
Lions signed CB Tre Flowers to their practice squad.
According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Lions signed Flowers to their practice squad on Tuesday. The 30-year-old veteran began his career with the Seahawks and bounced around since then, totaling four interceptions and 22 passes defended in seven seasons. With injuries to Terrion Arnold and D.J. Reed, Flowers adds depth to the Lions’ secondary.
  • FA Running Back #30
    Bears released RB Royce Freeman.
Freeman had only joined the Bears last week — the veteran will probably find a practice squad by the time the week is over. The Bears also waived DB Millard Bradford, DL Xavier Carlton, DB Alex Cook, LB Power Echols, DB Kaleb Hayes, QB Austin Reed, RB Ian Wheeler, and TE Joel Wilson. Additionally they released DB Tre Flowers and OL Joshua Miles, and placed DB Zah Frazier on the NFI list.
  • CHI Cornerback #1
Bears head coach Ben Johnson said CB Jaylon Johnson and CB Kyler Gordon are dealing with hamstring injuries.
It took a while for the team to disclose both players’ injuries but now we know why they are sidelined. Marquee Sports Network’s Scott Bair reports that the Bears “hope” Johnson is “healthy and can return for the Week 1 clash with the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.” Gordon is considered week-to-week, and “the Bears are hopeful that he can return before the end of training camp.” Backup CB Tre Flowers left practice early on Thursday. This secondary could be one to target for fantasy purposes in Week 1.
  • CHI Defensive End #92
Bears signed DL Tanoh Kpassagnon and CB Tre Flowers.
Kpassagnon, a bane to spellcheck, played with Dennis Allen’s Saints the past three seasons. Flowers is cornerback depth with Jaylon Johnson (leg) set to miss a few weeks of training camp with an injury he suffered this offseason.
  • JAC Cornerback #37
Jaguars signed CB Tre Flowers to the active roster.
Flowers was part of the practice squad, but with Tyson Campbell now on injured reserve for the next four weeks due to a hamstring, the 29-year-old defender will add to the Jacksonville depth behind the front seven.
  • JAC Safety #38
Jaguars signed S Terrell Edmunds, formerly of the Titans.
Edmunds was traded from the Eagles to the Titans last season and totaled 48 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one interception while splitting time with the two teams. The former first-round pick was let go by the Steelers after his rookie contract expired at the end of the 2022 season and is now set to play for his third team in two years. He’ll have a chance to provide added depth to the Jaguars’ secondary but is unlikely to be viewed as a starter at this point. In addition to Edmunds, they also signed cornerback Tre Flowers and linebacker Ty Summers.
  • FA Cornerback #23
Falcons signed CB Tre Flowers, formerly of the Bengals, to a one-year contract.
Flowers appeared in 15 games for the Bengals last season but was lightly used on the defensive side of the ball. A former fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Flowers carved out a starting role early in his career with the Seahawks, but has seen his snaps diminish in each of the last three seasons. His signing becomes the latest in a slew of additions the Falcons have made to their secondary, as he becomes the fourth defensive back to join the team this offseason.

  • FA Cornerback #23
Free agent CB Tre Flowers visited the Panthers on Tuesday.
Flowers visited Atlanta in March, but his market had gone cold since and the Falcons just brought in Jeff Okudah. Flowers would likely be a depth corner in Carolina if signed. He played in 15 games last season for the Bengals, notching just 171 defensive snaps.

  • FA Cornerback #23
Falcons hosted DB Tre Flowers for a visit.
Flowers appeared in 26 games for the Bengals over the previous season and a half, managing 50 combined tackles, four pass defenses, and two fumble recoveries during that time. He made just one start with the Bengals after beginning his career in a full-time role in Seattle and is likely to be forced to settle for a short-term contract near league veteran minimum.
