Ravens signed DT Travis Jones to a three-year, $40.5 million contract extension.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later scooped the contract details, noting that Jones is getting $25 million guaranteed. Jones has been an excellent run-stuffer this year. Pro Football Focus has him graded as a top-10 run defender among interior linemen. He has 27 stops and six TFLs this year. Before the deal was made, the NFLPA filed a grievance on Jones’ behalf to allow him to become an unrestricted free agent in the spring. He was set to become a restricted free agent, which would have given him significantly less leverage in contract talks. That, of course, is now a moot point for Jones, who will remain in Baltimore through the 2028 season.

Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (foot) is questionable for Week 4 against the Chiefs.
Team reporter Jeff Zrebiec believes “Likely has a very good chance of making his season debut Sunday” after practicing in full on Friday. In June, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he wants to see Likely be “an All-Pro” this season. The team has handled Likely’s recovery smartly, so they are unlikely to throw caution to the wind. He can only be started as a boom-bust TE2 against the Chiefs. He should be rostered everywhere. Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle), OLB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) and NT Travis Jones (knee) are all questionable. Ravens FB Patrick Ricard (calf), DT Broderick Washington (ankle) and DT Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) have been ruled out. Madubuike leads the team with 10 quarterback pressures and two sacks despite sitting out in Week 3. Madubuike, Washington and Jones anchor Baltimore’s 3-4 defense. Patrick Mahomes should be very comfortable in the pocket this week.

Ravens ruled out DL Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) for Baltimore’s Week 4 game against Cleveland.
Madubuike did not practice at any point last week and looks like a potential injured reserve candidate. John Harbaugh told reporters that he was “concerned” about it but that he’s “not really in a position to comment on it.” That sounds ominous. It’s good news for Kansas City’s running game, which you should probably avoid anyway. (Maybe you can justify a Kareem Hunt FLEX this week?) Travis Jones (knee) did return to practice, but Baltimore’s run defense has been weak this year and doesn’t seem to be getting much healthier.

The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Ravens’ “entire starting IDL” group did not practice on Wednesday.
The sidelined interior defenders include DT Nnamdi Madubuike (neck), DT Broderick Washington and NT Travis Jones. Injury statuses for the latter two players are currently unknown. Ravens OLB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) also remains sidelined. Madubuike still leads the team with 10 quarterback pressures and two sacks despite sitting out in Week 3. The Ravens need the players to get healthy quickly. They face the Chiefs in Week 4.

Ravens DL Travis Jones (knee) practiced in full Thursday.
Jones has been sidelined since suffering a knee sprain in the second preseason game. This full practice puts him on track to make his NFL debut against the Dolphins this week. The third-round rookie will boost an already solid defensive line rotation.

Ravens DT Travis Jones suffered a sprained knee in the second preseason game and will be sidelined 3-5 weeks.
It sounds like an MCL sprain, if we were to offer our best guess. The 76th overall pick back in April’s draft, Jones is expected to fill a rotational interior role up front after the Ravens said goodbye to Brandon Williams and Derek Wolfe in the offseason.

Ravens selected DL Travis Jones with the No. 76 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Jones (6’4/325) stood out as a force to be reckoned with as a true freshman, totaling 46 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, and a half-sack. UConn’s 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Jones returned to dominant form in 2021, posting career-highs in tackles (48), tackles for a loss (7.5), and sacks (4.5). Per PFF.com, Jones totaled 25 quarterback pressures and had another 25 stops in run defense. Jones added to his hype with a strong week at the Senior Bowl and had another two pressures and one sack in the game. He ran the fourth-fastest 40-yard dash at the Combine (4.92) and was top-five in both the vertical and broad jump. Jones possesses great size for a defensive tackle and disengages from blockers well to get his hands on running backs. He lined up almost exclusively at nose tackle, and will likely continue to do so at the next level.

NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero writes that UConn DT Travis Jones could be a surprise first round pick in this week’s NFL Draft.
Jones (6'4/325) was perhaps the only bright spot for UConn football in 2021, as he totaled 48 tackles, 7.5 TFLs and 4.5 sacks for a Huskies team that went 1-11 on the year. Jones tested off the charts at the NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.92 40-yard dash while also posting a 28.5-inch vertical. Jones’ 9.40 RAS makes him one of the more athletic DTs to ever grace the NFL Draft. Pelissero writes, “in a year where there just aren’t many clean defensive linemen to consider in the first couple rounds, Jones could go higher than anybody expects.”

Connecticut DL Travis Jones was recently dubbed the “most versatile” defensive tackle in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Jones (6'4/336) made the most of offseason showcases like the Senior Bowl and it’s safe to say he’s reaping the benefits of it. He followed the Senior Bowl with an equally impressive 2022 NFL Scouting Combine performance, recording a 4.92 40-yard dash and a 28.5-inch vertical. His agility was also very much on display as he tied the top three-cone performance with a 7.33 time. According to Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus, Jones is the “most versatile” player among defensive tackles available for the taking in April.

The Athletic’s college football staff has Connecticut DL Travis Jones being mocked to the Green Bay Packers in the 2022 NFL Draft.
It’s worth noting that this mock came out days before Davante Adams was traded to the Raiders, but Jones has gained steam since the Senior Bowl. After a reportedly dominant Senior Bowl performance, Jone followed things up with a 4.92 40-yard dash and a 28.5-inch vertical. Jones also displayed great agility, tying for the top three-cone performance with a 7.33 time. Green Bay has needs along the defensive line to adjust and two first round picks to use. While receiver may be the top-priority following the trade of Adams, Jones sneaking into the first round isn’t all that farfetched.
