Bills selected Miami (OH) OT Tommy Doyle with the No. 161 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Doyle (6'8/320), a three and a half year starter at Miami (OH), finished his career with back-to-back first-team All-MAC honors. Doyle was initially a right tackle before making the switch to the blind side in 2019, which happened to coincide with him having the best two years of his career. As things stand now, Doyle is rough around the edges. His pass sets can be clunky, his leverage in the run game is inconsistent, and he does not always do the best job tracking his targets at the second level when necessary. When it looks good, though, it looks as good as anyone. Doyle is a special athlete (9.90 RAS), both in terms of movement skills and violent play strength. Doyle probably needs some time to get his sea legs under him in the NFL, but the potential is intriguing.
