Sunday’s Titans/Dolphins game in Miami could potentially be moved or postponed for Hurricane Ivan.
“We are monitoring the progress of the storm,” said Harvey Greene, senior vice president/media relations for the Dolphins. Among the possibilities are moving the game to Saturday or Monday.

The Titans extended the contracts of Jeff Fisher’s assistant coaches for next season. It looks like Fisher’s job is safe.
It would be insane to fire Fisher, but that’s what some reports suggested was going to happen earlier this week. He’ll be on the hot seat next season to get things turned around.
  • TEN Offensive Team
The Titans have reportedly offered their offensive coordinator job to USC offensive guru Norm Chow.
Chow admits he’s thinking about leaving for the next level. It’s been a terrible offseason for the Titans losing coaches, so this would be a huge get.
  • TEN Offensive Team
The Titans may intensify their pursuit for USC offensive coordinator Norm Chow next week.
He would be an exciting replacement for Mike Heimerdinger. Chow has been magical at the collegiate level.
  • TEN Offensive Team
The Titans will interview Saints offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy for their open position.
McCarthy will probably end up in Tennessee or San Francisco.
  • TEN Offensive Team
Titans met with USC offensive coordinator Norm Chow Friday and may have offered him the coordintor position in Tennessee.
He looks to be the team’s top choice. Look for a hire early next week.
  • TEN Offensive Team
The Titans coaching staff will stay intact next season.
Both coordinators interviewed with the 49ers but didn’t get the job. Tennessee could have the toughest offseason of any NFL team. They will have to be creative not to endure a salary cap purge.

Citing multiple sources, ESPN’s Joe Schad reports that Titans coach Mike Munchak is “torn” about his coaching future, and Penn State believes Munchak may listen to their overtures “after all.”
Munchak is reportedly struggling with the idea that he might be able to “fix and make right” his alma mater. “He loves his school and his heart is torn,” said one source. “He really fits what they want and need to a tee.” Per Schad, Munchak’s future should be resolved within a week. Our best guess is that he will stay in Tennessee, but only after seriously considering PSU. Patriots OC Bill O’Brien is reportedly among Penn State’s fallback targets.
  • TEN Offensive Team
Titans coach Mike Munchak is denying that he has any interest in the Penn State job.
Munchak is in his first year in charge of the Titans and his team is still alive in the playoff hunt. He wouldn’t admit it even if he was interested in replacing Joe Paterno at his alma mater. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that Penn State approached Munchak early on in its search, but was told he was not interested.

Titans head coach Mike Munchak is Penn State’s first choice to replace Joe Paterno, sources tell the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Munchak played offensive line for Paterno from 1978-1981, earning second team All-American honors as a senior. Expect rumors to intensify after the Titans’ season is over. They can still get in the playoffs by beating the Texans Sunday and getting some help. According to the Post-Gazette, Packers quarterbacks coach Tom Clements is Penn State’s second choice.
