The signing will give the Giants extra depth in the interior of their defensive line with Dexter Lawrence ailing. Horne was a key member of Atlanta’s defense last season, appearing in all 17 games, but he was unable to make the 2023 roster after the Falcons signed Calais Campbell and David Onyemata.

Horne (6'5/318) started 29-of-43 games in his five-year tenure at Charlotte. The highly productive redshirt senior recorded 101 tackles, 44 solo, 14.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks, two PBU and 2 fumble recoveries. Kansas State returns only four scholarship defensive interior linemen, so the grad transfer helps addresses a position in desperate need.
