Bills LB Terrel Bernard (wrist/pectoral) will play in Week 9 against the Dolphins.
The Bills’ defense returns one of its defensive leaders against the Dolphins’ potent rushing attack. It’s a big boost for a unit now tasked with slow De’Von Achance, Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Wright.

Bills LB Terrel Bernard (ankle) won’t play in Week 8 against the Seahawks.
Bernard exited in Week 7 with his ankle injury and will now miss at least one game as a result. Bernard has totaled 32 tackles in five games for the Bills this season while also tallying three TFLs and forcing one interception. It’s a tough loss for the Bills, who will be challenged by a physical Seahawks rushing attack. In addition to Bernard, the Bills also ruled out defensive tackle DeWayne Carter (wrist)

Bills MLB Terrel Bernard suffered an ankle injury in Buffalo’s Week 7 game against the Titans and will not return.
Briefly questionable, Bernard didn’t take long to get downgraded to out. Bernard has had a tough time staying healthy this season, but he’s still been gobbling up snaps when out there. It’s a big loss for the Bills’ defense.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Bills LB Terrel Bernard (pec) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Texans.
Bernard went down with a pec strain in Week 2 and has been out ever since. He returned to practice last week for some light work but was unable to suit up versus Baltimore. One more week of recovery appears to have been enough. Bernard led the Bills with 143 combined tackles last year and also tallied 6.5 sacks.
  • BUF Defensive Back #7
Bills CB Taron Johnson (forearm) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Bills LB Terrel Bernard (pectoral) also returned in a limited capacity. Both players have been sidelined with multi-week injuries. Their potential return in Week 5 would bode positively for the Bills’ interior defense; Johnson is the team’s primary slot cornerback.

Bills LB Terrel Bernard (pec) won’t play in Week 4 against the Ravens.
Bernard returned to practice on Thursday but hasn’t had enough time to recover from the pec strain he suffered in Week 2 against the Dolphins. The Bills won’t risk him in Week 4 against the Ravens, but it’s possible a return in Week 5 could be in the works. In addition to Bernard, the Bills also ruled out CB Taron Johnson, who hasn’t practice all week due to a forearm injury.
  • BUF Linebacker #43
Bills LB Terrel Bernard (pectoral) returned to practice Thursday.
Bernard suffered a strained pectoral in Week 2 and did not suit up for Week 3’s contest against the Jaguars. Initially considered a candidate for injured reserve, his return on Thursday suggests there’s a chance he could play on Sunday night against the Ravens. Even if a Week 4 return isn’t in the cards, it doesn’t sound like Bernard will miss more than a game or two.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Bills LB Terrel Bernard suffered a strained pec in Week 2 and is a candidate to go on injured reserve.
Bernard suffered the injury in the Bills’ Thursday night win over the Dolphins and did not return. Per Schefter, Bernard could miss about a month but the injury is not believed to be season-ending. It’s a tough blow to a Bills defense that underwhelmed in Week 1 but terrorized the Dolphins in a rebound performance last night. Bernard had 10 TFLs, 6.5 sacks, and 143 total tackles in 2023.

Bills MLB Terrel Bernard was forced from Buffalo’s Week 2 game against the Dolphins with a pectoral injury and will not return.
Uh oh. The Bills’ defensive captain and leading tackler went down early in the first half and was ruled out after the break. He could be dealing with a torn pec, which would be a multi-month issue. He’s been replaced by 2022 seventh-rounder Baylon Spector. Stay tuned.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Bills LB Terrel Bernard is “shaping up as a game-time decision” for the Divisional Round against the Chiefs.
As expected, the Bills are optimistic cornerback Taron Johnson will play. Johnson is in the final stages of the league’s concussion protocol. Bernard suffered an ankle injury in the Bills’ Wild Card Round win over the Steelers. Both defensemen were listed as questionable after Friday’s practice.
