Texas redshirt junior WR Tarik Black hired an agent and will enter the NFL Draft.
Black (6'3/215) caught ten passes for 240 yards and one touchdown this season as a reserve outside wide receiver. and he projects to be a late-Day 3 selection in this spring’s draft. He only secured 10-of-24 targets, a 42 percent catch rate, for 234 yards and a 23.4 YPC this year with two drops and two fumbles. The former Michigan transfer had concentration lapses but also showed promise with a 10.3 yards after catch average. The inconsistent wideout projects as a late Day 3 selection in April’s NFL Draft.

Texas redshirt junior WR Tarik Black has opted out of the Alamo Bowl and will enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
The decision made by Black (6'3/215), who was a grad transfer after beginning his college career at Michigan, may not be as straightforward as one would believe. According to 247Sports’ Chip Brown, the redshirt junior was expected to be academically ineligible for the Alamo Bowl. That impacted Black’s decision to turn pro rather than entertain the possibility of returning to Austin for another season. Black caught ten passes for 240 yards and one touchdown this season, and he projects to be a late-Day 3 selection in this spring’s draft.

Texas redshirt junior WR Tarik Black brought in five passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 59-3 win over UTEP.
If Black (6'3/215) can stay healthy, which he rarely seemed to be able to do at Michigan, this could be the start of an excellent turnaround for a talented player. In his debut with the Longhorns, Black was the second-leading receiver behind only Joshua Moore. Now in his fourth season, Black had only previously earned 80-plus yards in two games, one of which was the 2019 season opener against Middle Tennessee. Maybe Black can repeat the feat in two weeks against the Red Raiders.

Texas redshirt junior WR Tarik Black is listed as the starting X-receiver ahead of Saturday’s game vs. UTEP.
Black (6'3/215) does not lack for talent, but his issue while at Michigan was an inability to stay healthy. He’s clearly made a positive impression in Austin, has he is listed as the starter ahead of returnee Brennan Eagles for the Longhorns’ season opener. Texas HC Tom Herman recently said that Black has been “a welcome addition to (the wide receiver) room and that unit.” The former Michigan wideout caught 25 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown last season, which were career-high numbers.

Texas confirmed the addition of former Michigan redshirt junior WR Tarik Black as a graduate transfer.
Black (6'3/215) announced his transfer to Texas from Michigan at the end of April. Every now and then, transfers will have an about face or second thoughts after their initial commitments, but not so with this one, as Texas has now officially confirmed the move. Former four-star recruit Black enrolled at Michigan with much fanfare (he, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Shea Patterson were supposed to revamp UM’s passing game collectively) but injuries, particularly foot injuries, marred his progression in Ann Arbor. Black did manage a career-best 25-323-1 receiving line in 2019 and if healthy in Austin, makes for an intriguing transfer get, one who should have immediate opportunities to carve out a role with both Devin Duvernay and Collin Johnson having flown the coup.

Former Michigan redshirt junior WR Tarik Black transferred to Texas as a graduate.
As a grad transfer, Black is eligible to play for the Longhorns immediately in 2020. Not only that, but Texas will get two years of eligibility out of the former Wolverine. This is a highly-intriguing post-hype free agent signing by the Horns. Black, a former four-star recruit, flashed early in his career with Michigan, but multiple foot injuries wrecked his freshman and sophomore seasons. In 2019, he recorded a 25-323-1 receiving line. Black is a physical 6-foot-3, 215-pounder who Texas is clearly looking at to help fill gaping holes at receiver with Devin Duvernay and Collin Johnson off to the NFL.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg believes that Boston College is a potential landing spot for Michigan redshirt junior WR Tarik Black.
Black entered the transfer portal back in December, and we haven’t heard much about his recruitment since. Rittenberg believes that the 6-foot-3, 215-pound wideout could be heading to Chestnut Hill, and the talented wideout would be a welcome addition to an offense that could use the help; particularly with A.J. Dillon off to the NFL. Black can play right away since he’s a graduate, but there’s no word as of yet as to when he plans to pick a new school -- assuming he does.

Brian Dohn of 247Sports lists Miami, Boston College, Texas, Virginia and Arizona State among the programs who are of interest to Michigan redshirt junior WR Tarik Black.
Black (6'3"/215) entered the transfer portal in December after a 25-323-3 line for the Wolverines. He showed ridiculous promise early in his time at Ann Arbor, but he’s struggled to stay healthy in his three-plus years with the program. Black will be eligible to play immediately, and with his size and speed, he’d be a tremendous get for any of those schools.

ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren reports that Michigan redshirt sophomore WR Tarik Black has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Black (6'3/215) managed only modest numbers in 2019, logging a 25-323-1 receiving line in 11 games, but the encouraging aspect, here, is that he managed to play in essentially a full season. This after being undone by foot injuries each of his first two years in Ann Arbor (he appeared in six total games between the 2017 and 2018 seasons). We’ll pass along word when Black settles on a new collegiate home, assuming UM’s coaching staff can’t convince him to stick around for 2020.

Michigan redshirt sophomore WR Tarik Black caught one pass for 20 yards in Saturday’s 10-3 win over Iowa.
Black (6'3/215) coming in with a nonexistent showing on Saturday. After going for 4-80-1 against MTSU in the opener, the oft-injured redshirt sophomore has been held to 30 or fewer receiving yards in three of his last four games. Michigan’s receivers, Black included, aren’t lacking for talent. They can only do so much in what still looks like a very, very limited offense, though.
