Browns hired former Broncos QBs coach T.C. McCartney as an offensive assistant.
McCartney was not retained after the Broncos fired OC Rich Scangerello this offseason. This will be McCartney’s second go-round with the Browns after previously serving as an offensive quality control coach under Mike Pettine in 2014. In Denver, McCartney was praised for his work with Drew Lock, who won four of five starts down the stretch. At his new gig, McCartney will be tasked with reigniting Baker Mayfield, who followed up a stellar rookie year with a disappointing sophomore campaign in 2019.
