Weatherford

Weatherford (6’4”/224) finished 2021 with 66 tackles, two interceptions, and four PBUs. He is a big-bodied defensive back who plays with aggression but also intelligence. He is a form tackler and hits hard. That physicality also helps him during the catch point as we’ve seen several incidents of him forcing drops. He lacks mobility and speed, and that showed at the combine as he ran a 4.6 40. He can play at the line of scrimmage and get physical, but he struggles against quicker receivers on deeper routes or multiple cuts. With his size, strength, hustle, and football IQ, Weatherford will have a good shot at sticking on someone’s 53-man roster.
