    Titans signed EDGE Shane Ray.
Ray spent last offseason with the Bills, working with them throughout training camp before being cut during the roster’s trim down to 53 players. A former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015, Ray hasn’t played a regular-season snap since 2018 and also spent time in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts (2021-2022). He’ll be a long shot to make the Titans roster, but he should have ample opportunities to make an impression throughout camp and the preseason.

    Bills released LB Shane Ray.
Ray hasn’t played in the NFL since 2018 but was hoping to secure a spot on the Bills’ 53-man roster after a successful stint in the NFL. The team released him with an injury settlement after placing him on injured reserve earlier this month. It’s possible this is the last we’ll hear of the former No. 23 overall pick in the NFL.

Bills signed LB Shane Ray to a one-year contract.
The former Broncos first-round pick hasn’t appeared in the NFL since 2018. Ray spent the last two seasons in the CFL, posting six sacks and two forced fumbles in 18 starts. The 29-year-old will compete for a depth role in Buffalo as a sub-package rusher.

Cardinals worked out free agent OLB Shane Ray.
The Cardinals need to do their due diligence with all free agents given their current roster, but it’s unlikely that Ray equates to much after failing to crack the Ravens’ final 53-man roster this summer. The former 23rd overall pick only managed 14 sacks in his four-year stint with the Broncos.
  • FA Linebacker #59
    Ravens released OLB Shane Ray.
The former 23rd overall pick didn’t amount to much during his four-year stint in Denver (14 sacks in 49 appearances) and couldn’t make the most of his opportunity with Baltimore this summer, failing to crack the Ravens’ final 53. Ray is still just 26 and does have an eight-sack season on his resume, though the quick hook from Baltimore suggests the league views him as more of a fringe roster type than the impact player many expected him to be coming out of Mizzou.

The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec believes OLB Shane Ray “needs a big preseason” to make the Ravens’ 53-man roster.
Zrebiec says the consistency hasn’t been there for Ray this summer in practice. Rookie Jaylon Ferguson, Matthew Judon, Tyus Bowser, Tim Williams, and Pernell McPhee are all ahead of Ray on the depth chart at the moment, and the Ravens are unlikely to keep six edge rushers. The former No. 23 overall pick, Ray’s career has tailspun in recent years due to injury and poor play.
  • FA Linebacker #59
Ravens agreed to terms with OLB Shane Ray, formerly of the Broncos.
The former No. 23 overall pick of the 2015 draft, Ray took visits with the Colts, Raiders, and Seahawks earlier in free agency, but the Ravens now swoop in when free agents no longer affect the compensatory-pick formula. Ray engineered 12 sacks across his first two seasons, including an eight-sack sophomore campaign. But he ended up missing 13 games to injury the last two years and generated a woeful two sacks in 19 games. Ray, 26 on Saturday, will try to reboot his game in Baltimore.

Free agent OLB/DE Shane Ray will visit the Seahawks on Friday.
The Broncos first-round bust visited the Raiders last month, as well as the Colts in March. 26 this month, Ray will be a situational pass rushing flier wherever he ends up.

Free agent OLB Shane Ray visited the Raiders.
It is Ray’s second-known visit after he met with the Colts last month. The 2015 first-rounder’s Broncos career ended with a thud. He was active just 11 times last season, registering a solitary sack. Ray turns 26 next month.

Free agent OLB Shane Ray visited the Colts on Friday.
The Colts already addressed their pass-rushing need by adding Justin Houston, but apparently they’re not finished. Ray showed flashes during his time in Denver, though ultimately he never lived up to his first-round billing. Still, the Mizzou alum does have an eight-sack season on his resume and could benefit from a change of scenery.
