The Dolphins tendered one-year contract offers worth $656,000 to restricted free agent center Seth McKinney and defensive tackle Dario Romero.
McKinney started last year, but will likely compete for his job this time around.
  • Dolphins starting RG Seth McKinney may miss the season with an neck injury.
The Dolphins are waiting for test results, but it would be tough blow to Miami’s overachieving O-line. Former Bills starter Bennie Anderson would probably fill in, which isn’t a good thing.
  • The Associated Press reports Dolphins G Seth McKinney underwent surgery to repair a disk in his neck Thursday morning.
McKinney is expected to be out for two-to-three months. Veteran Bennie Anderson and rookie Joe Toledo are competing in his absence.
  • Seth McKinney left Sunday’s game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury.
McKinney looked to be in rough shape on the sidelines afterward and will not return.
  • Browns placed G Seth McKinney on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.
This is the first major injury to Cleveland’s offensive line all year. The Browns do have capable replacements in Ryan Tucker and Lennie Friedman. The injury-prone McKinney is scheduled for unrestricted free agency in 2008.
  • RG Seth McKinney and LG Eric Steinbach both missed practice on Thursday.
Steinbach strained his back at practice on Wednesday and is considered day-to-day. His injury seems less serious than that of McKinney, who hurt his shoulder on Sunday and has missed all practices this week. Coach Romeo Crennel refused to discuss if a separation occurred. Ryan Tucker would replace McKinney against Pittsburgh’s blitz-happy defense.
  • The Browns have until Tuesday to make a decision on whether to activate C LeCharles Bentley (knee surgeries) from the PUP list.
If not activated, Bentley will be out for the season. Considering the Browns winning record, they could be inclined to activate Bentley for a possible playoff push. G Seth McKinney (shoulder) was injured in Week 9 and if he is unable to start against the Steelers, reserve Lennie Friedman would take his place.
  • Bills signed G/C Seth McKinney, formerly of the Browns.
McKinney has started 11 games the past two years. He figures to take on a utility role in Buffalo, with Kirk Chambers remaining the favorite to start at right guard.
  • CLE Tackle
Browns G Ryan Tucker went through limited practice in pads Monday for the first time since having hip surgery in May.
Tucker won’t be rushed back, but his backup, Rex Hadnot, is also unlikely to play in the season opener, moving Seth McKinney into the lineup.
