Brandon is expected to be out for at least three weeks.

It marked the second time in the past 13 months Brandon was arrested for domestic violence.

Typically Denver’s third safety, Brandon tore his ACL and MCL late last year but is already making cuts on the knee. He is still being limited in 11-on-11s.

He violated the league’s conduct policy by being charged twice for domestic violence in 2004 and 2005. Brandon turned himself into police in September on charges he violated the conditions of a restraining order and bail.

Brandon will have a hard time finding work as a free agent as he comes off microfracture surgery and remains on the hook for a two-game suspension.

Brandon will undergo microfracture surgery after tearing his ACL last year. He will miss 2007, and will have to serve a two-game suspension if he’s ever able to play again. The Broncos have expressed early interest in bringing him back next year.

Brandon, the Broncos’ No. 3 safety, was arrested for domestic violence last summer. Usual special teamers Curome Cox and Hamza Abdullah will likely play more while he misses time. Brandon’s loss could hurt if free safety John Lynch or strong safety Nick Ferguson goes down early in the season.
