“Big Grease” missed most of Packers minicamps and OTAs and now this. Once considered a first-round bust before having a solid 2005 season, Pickett’s decision making has been unbecoming since signing for $17 million in March.

Harris is looking for a new deal. Pickett and Woodson are both projected starters and signed to big money during the offseason.

The free agent acquisition has been AWOL due to a personal matter. He apologized to his teammates. Pickett should start at DT for the Packers this year, replacing Grady Jackson.

Pickett left last week’s win over the Panthers in the second half and did not return. “My foot just started hurting,” he said. “I didn’t know what it was. I don’t think it’s anything serious.” Pickett’s presence will plug up the middle for Matt Forte.

The Packers offered no details on Pickett’s injury following the game. Veteran Howard Green will have to step up if Pickett misses time.

Lining up opposite dominant left end Ryan Pickett, Wynn has severely outplayed C.J. Wilson through three games. Wynn and Picket are ranked second and third among 3-4 defensive ends in Pro Football Focus’ run defense rankings early this season.

With Aaron Rodgers already out of the game in a 46-7 blowout, Pickett won’t be back. Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed in the post-game presser that Pickett sustained a concussion. He’ll have to pass a battery of tests to play in Week 15.

The severity of the injury is unclear. Pickett is questionable to return. Rookie Jerel Worthy will likely be a full-time player with Pickett sidelined.

Pickett, 33, brings essentially nothing to the table as a pass rusher, but he is a run-stuffing power pig at left end and nose tackle. “I think Ryan has some more football left in him. I really do,” Trgovac said. “I think he definitely has another good year left in him.” Pickett is owed $6.1 million in 2013.

Green Bay was smart to execute the switch after franchise tagging Pickett -- he would’ve been much more costly at the end position. Despite a mostly promising first season as a starter, Johnny Jolly has lost his job. The Packers can’t count on Jolly with felony drug charges hanging over his head.
