He underwent wrist surgery after least season. With David Givens in town, Williams has an uphill climb just to be Tennessee’s No. 3 receiver.

With Brandon Jones and Drew Bennett out, it’s either Williams or fellow rookie Courtney Roby. Williams had more snaps and catches last week and isn’t a terrible last minute option if you need help.

With Tyrone Calico hurt, he earned starter-worthy snaps. He had a 20-yard gain called back by penalty, but Steve McNair looked to Courtney Roby more often.

The Tulane product has reportedly impressed during practice. He is the fastest player on the Titans, but made a huge mental mistake to finish this game, stepping out of bounds a yard before a crucial first down. With Brandon Jones hurting, Williams has a chance to start next week and is worth a look in very deep leagues.

The rookie got a chance to start and impressed. His practice reports have been exceptional, but he’ll probably come off the bench with Drew Bennett and Brandon Jones getting healthy during Tennessee’s bye.

Williams will compete with fellow rookie wide receivers Brandon Jones and Courtney Roby for playing time behind Drew Bennett and Tyrone Calico. Williams has looked good in camp so far, but most feel that Jones will emerge as the most talented of the trio of rookies this season.

The fourth-round draft pick is competing for the slot duties. In most leagues, he’s only worth adding if Drew Bennett or Tyrone Calico is sidelined.

He’s one of three Titans rookie wideouts vying for a significant role this season. Williams has a great pair of hands and speed, but lacks ideal size.

It was his second-straight exhibition start, and Moulds is a good bet to keep it that way over Roydell Williams and Courtney Roby when the season opens.

“It’s something I’ll pray about,” he said. “If I go out there and don’t feel good, and don’t feel like I can make plays, I’m not going to play.” Roydell Williams is likely to make another start in a poor matchup against Oakland.
