Roy Williams, questionable with a sore ankle, missed the team portion of practice once again on Thursday.
We think the Lions are just being very cautious with Williams. He should start on Sunday barring any setback and is a decent play at New York.

WR Roy Williams looks to be a game-time decision after practicing on Friday.
“Roy ran more,” Mariucci said, referring to the Friday workout. “He ran strides faster, moved laterally a little bit. Is he ready yet? No, but he’s making progress. He’s getting closer. That’s going to be a game-time decision.”

Roy Williams missed the team portion of practice on Wednesday and is listed as questionable.
Williams suited up last Sunday, but didn’t play. We expect him to practice later in the week and play on Sunday.

Roy Williams missed the team portion of practice for a second straight day Thursday.
He’s questionable with an ankle. Coach Mariucci said Williams wouldn’t necessarily have to practice to play, so Williams could be a game-time decision. Stay tuned.

Roy Williams was able to run sprints on Thursday with a discernible limp.
A great sign for Williams owners. “Roy — we’re hopeful. I can’t say if he’ll play for sure because I want to see him cut, and I want to see him plant,” coach Steve Mariucci said. Watch today’s practice reports for updates, but he’s looking very possible to play.

Roy Williams does not have a high ankle sprain and is “day-to-day”.
He’ll be evaluated again Wednesday and will likely be listed as questionable. Coach Mariucci called Williams “iffy” earlier today.

Roy Williams will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
“Roy (Williams) ran more...he ran strides faster, moved laterally a little bit. Is he ready yet? No, but he’s making progress. He’s getting closer,” coach Steve Mariucci said today. Williams has a great match-up if he does play, so this is a tough call. We’d take him out of lineups until Sunday morning.

Roy Williams did not practice on Wednesday and is still questionable for this weekend.
Watch the next few days of practice reports, but Williams is looking like a risky play this weekend.
  • CHI Wide Receiver
Roy Williams will “probably” play after running on his left ankle Thursday.
We’d love to see him complete a full practice, but it looks like Williams will give it a go. He’s a decent option at WR3, but benching him isn’t a terrible idea because of the injury.
  • CHI Wide Receiver
The Lions are treating Roy Williams’ ankle injury very cautiously.
He hasn’t practiced fully the last three weeks. Since he was able to play well last week without practicing in pads, we’re not too concerned.
