  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Steelers declared WR Roman Wilson, QB Russell Wilson, CB Darius Rush, RB Jaylen Warren, LB Alex Highsmith, OG Isaac Seumalo and TE MyCole Pruitt for Week 4 against the Colts.
Needless to say, third-round rookie Roman Wilson has lost any shot he had at potential 2024 re-draft relevance, while it bodes poorly for his long-term outlook that he can’t get on the field in this sorry group of Steelers receivers.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Steelers declared WR Roman Wilson, S Terrell Edmunds, TE MyCole Pruitt, CB Darius Rush, OG Isaac Seumalo, and QB Russell Wilson inactive for Week 3 against the Chargers.
Wilson was removed from the team’s final injury report but won’t suit up for Sunday’s contest. The rookie third-rounder has yet to make his debut after battling through an ankle injury he suffered in training camp and was a full participant in Friday’s practice. It’s possible the Steelers are looking to see a few more practices out of him before thrusting him into live action. We’ll see where he stands come Week 4 when the Steelers take on the Colts.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Roman Wilson (ankle) was listed as a full participant for Thursday’s practice.
Wilson was able to get in a full session after being limited Wednesday. The rookie wideout was also a full participant in last week’s Thursday practice, however, and he didn’t see the field. It still seems likely that Wilson is going to be available for Week 3, but there’s no guarantee of a significant role for that contest.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Steelers WR Roman Wilson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Wilson went LP, FP and LP last week but remained inactive on game day. It is unclear as to when the rookie will make his NFL debut. He does not need to be rostered at this time.
  • PIT Quarterback #3
Steelers have declared QB Russell Wilson inactive for Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.
There will be no revenge game for Russ, who was listed as the emergency third quarterback. The Steelers also declared WR Roman Wilson, S Jalen Elliott, S Terrell Edmunds, G Isaac Seumalo, and DL Dean Lowry inactive. Although Wilson was able to get on the field in the pre-game and workout, so the rookie may not be too many weeks away from his NFL debut.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #15
Steelers elevated WR Ben Skowronek for Week 2 against the Broncos.
The team also elevated Skowronek in Week 1, but he wasn’t a factor against the Falcons and shouldn’t be one this week either. If anything, it’s likely not a good sign for the chances that rookie WR Roman Wilson makes his NFL debut this weekend. Skowronek will have most of his value of special teams this weekend.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Roman Wilson (ankle) was upgraded to a full participant for Thursday’s practice.
Wilson gets the full go after being limited Wednesday and missing Week 1 against the Falcons with his ankle issue. The 2024 third-round selection has a good chance of making his season debut against the Broncos on Sunday, but doesn’t seem like a good option for fantasy players for that contest if he does go.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Steelers WR Roman Wilson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Wilson missed Week 1 because of the ankle issue despite logging three limited practices. He may need to get upgraded to a full practice before the Steelers clear him for action. The rookie will only play a part-time role whenever he is healthy, keeping him off the fantasy radar for the foreseeable future.
  • PIT Quarterback #3
Russell Wilson (calf) is inactive for Week 1 against the Falcons.
Wilson is officially out for Week 1 due to a calf injury he came into the week questionable with, though he is still denoted as the team’s emergency third quarterback. This means Justin Fields will make his Steelers debut as the starter against the Falcons. With Fields starting, the rest of the Steelers offense won’t take too much of a fantasy hit, or boost, either. Rushing ability makes Fields an intriguing streamer with QB2 upside for the week. Also inactive for the Steelers are G Isaac Seumalo, WR Roman Wilson, S Jalen Elliott, and DL Dean Lowry. Seumalo (pec) is notably a starter on the offensive line while the rookie WR Wilson (ankle) will also miss Week 1.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Roman Wilson (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Falcons.
Wilson was limited all week in practice, and the Steelers won’t have their 2024 third-round pick available for the opener against Atlanta. The former Michigan star could make an impact for the Steelers in the later weeks, but he appears to be well behind the eight ball to begin the 2024 campaign.
