Eagles activated CB C.J. Gardner-Johnson (kidney) from injured reserve.
The same is true of Robert Quinn (knee scope). They’re two big returns for a defense that has lost a little of its bite down the stretch. Both will presumably be snap counted against the Giants on Sunday with an eye toward being ready for their regular roles after what should be a bye on Wild Card weekend. Although more of a nuisance than true difference-maker, Gardner-Johnson is a play-maker.

Eagles placed EDGE Robert Quinn (knee) on injured reserve.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Quinn’s knee was scoped. He’ll miss at least the next four weeks. The Eagles have plenty of pass-rush depth and this timeline does allow Quinn to get back before the playoffs, but it’s a short-term blow.

Eagles declared DE Robert Quinn, QB Ian Book, CB Josh Jobe, RB Trey Sermon, G Josh Sills, and G Sua Opeta inactive for Week 13 against the Titans.
Quinn injured his knee in practice, and the pass rusher was declared out on Friday. It’s a blow for the Eagles’ ability to get to the passer. However, the Eagles will have DT Jordan Davis, who is returning from injured reserve. bolstering the interior of the defensive line.

Eagles DE Robert Quinn (knee) won’t play in Week 13 against the Titans.
The Eagles ruled out Quinn, who was injured in Friday’s practice, and will be without FS C.J. Gardner-Johnson (core) on defense this week. The early rule out means Quinn may be looking at an extended absence. Placing Quinn on IR would open a spot for DT Jordan Davis (ankle) on the active roster.

Eagles acquired EDGE Robert Quinn from the Bears in exchange for a fourth-round pick.
The Eagles are 6-0 and have their sights set on a Super Bowl. With Derek Barnett (knee) lost for the season in Week 1, Quinn gives the Eagles more juice off the edge, alongside guys like Haason Reddick, Brandon Graham, and Josh Sweat. Quinn, 32, has 102 career sacks and had been on the trade block dating back to the offseason. Going to Philly puts him in a spot to contribute in a playoff run.

Jordan Schultz reports that Bears EDGE Robert Quinn is “a trade candidate” for “several teams.”
It’s never really made sense for Quinn to be around for a Bears rebuild, and he was reportedly sought after near the draft as well. The complicating factor is an $18.2 million cap hit for 2023 that acquiring teams would likely prefer to see negotiated down. Quinn has just one sack this year but had 18.5 in 2021 and is still capable of providing plenty of pressure.

Bears EDGE Robert Quinn does not expect to be traded.
There has been smoke about Quinn being on the trade block since the spring, and that was before he skipped mandatory minicamp in June. He reported for the first day of training camp, however, and appears to be happy with his situation. Quinn is coming off a massive 18.5-sack season and would almost certainly have some value on the trade market if the rebuilding Bears want to move him.

Bears EDGE Robert Quinn reported to training camp.
Quinn skipped mandatory minicamp in June and there’s been smoke about him being dealt going back to the draft. GM Ryan Poles noted in a presser that he hasn’t had any conversations with Quinn about requesting a trade. It’s still possible the veteran pass rusher, coming off an 18.5-sack season, is moved before the year kicks off. The Bears certainly don’t seem to be trending in a direction where they’ll need that production in 2022.

The Athletic’s Kevin Fishbain writes that it’s “tough to be confident” that EDGE Robert Quinn will be on Chicago’s roster at the start of the season.
Fishbain’s initial 53-man roster projection leaves Quinn off with the idea that he could be moved after skipping mandatory minicamp. We haven’t seen much media speculation on teams that are actually interested in Quinn, but coming off an 18.5-sack season he should command a decent return even at 32. Quinn, who initially said he was happy not to be moved in March, could be a major training camp storyline.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Bears EDGE Robert Quinn is not expected to be present for the team’s mandatory minicamp that begins today.
Trade rumors have swirled around Quinn since the draft, but to this point we’d seen nothing that would say Quinn was out-and-out asking to be dealt. This holdout has the feel of trying to force a deal. Quinn is coming off a career year in 2021 with 18.5 sacks, but turned 32 in May and likely wouldn’t command a huge amount of trade compensation. The Bears have stripped most of the roster down to the studs already, so it would seem to make sense for them to move on here if they get a fair offer.
