Rookie corner Ricardo Colclough has replaced veteran Mike Logan on Pittsburgh’s dime defense.
The Tusculuum grad looks like a keeper early in his career.

Ricardo Colclogh could replace Antwan Randle-El on Pittsburgh’s return teams.
Colclough netted a 24-yard punt return and a 59-yard kickoff return in his preseason debut. He’s also in the mix for the nickel cornerback role in Pittsburgh.
  • KC Defensive Back
Steelers cornerback Ricardo Colclough is out for week six with a shoulder injury.
It should mean more playing time for Willie Williams. Ike Taylor has done a decent job as a starter.

Steelers PR Willie Reid is again struggling with a foot injury and will be held out of the conclusion of Organized Team Activities.
Reid says he just needs to rest the foot, but dealt with the same injury for much of 2006 before going on I.R. Ricardo Colclough is again fielding punts.

Steelers signed fifth-round CB William Gay to a three-year contract. The deal includes a $106,000 signing bonus.
Gay has some Tampa 2 attributes as a physical corner and a willing blitzer. The former Louisville Cardinal should make the team out of training camp if the Steelers keep five cornerbacks on their roster. It’s possible he could even make it as a dime corner if Mike Tomlin cuts Ricardo Colclough.

Steelers released CB Ricardo Colclough and resigned CB Anthony Madison.
The Steelers had high hopes for Colclough, their second-round pick in 2004, but his play has slipped after a promising start to his career. The one-time punt returner played in only three games this season. Madison played 12 games with the Steelers last season, but was released in training camp and then later by the Bucs. Don’t be surprised if the Patriots sign Colclough before their Week 14 match-up with Pittsburgh.

Browns claimed CB Ricardo Colclough off waivers from the Steelers.
Colclough, a former second-round pick from little known Tusculum, will move into a special teams role for Cleveland, and with some good practices could challenge Kenny Wright and Brandon McDonald for a role at dime back.

    Chiefs released CB Ricardo Colclough.
Colclough has been active in just one game this season. He’s strictly a special teamer at this point in his career.
