The Broncos revealed Monday they will not try to re-sign DE Reggie Hayward.
Weird. They let Bertrand Berry go last year, want to trade Trevor Pryce, and now won’t try to keep arguably the best pass-rusher on the market. Jacksonville and Arizona are the favorites to land Hayward.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
If the Broncos successfully deal Trevor Pryce, they will likely use their cap savings on Reggie Hayward.
Hayward had 10 1/2 sacks last season and would make a great pass-rushing 3-4 outside linebacker. That makes him a very intriguing IDP player, especially if still qualifies at DL.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
The Jaguars met with former Broncos DE Reggie Hayward Wednesday.
Jacksonville will try to lock up a deal before the end of the day. The Cardinals are the other contenders for Hayward, probably the best pure pass rusher on the market.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
Broncos defensive end Reggie Hayward figures to be an offseason priority for Denver.
He’s filled in capably for Bertrand Berry, with 9.5 sacks in a contract year. He’d like to cash in, and Denver may reward him.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
The Jaguars are impressed at how complete a defensive end Reggie Hayward has been in camp.
Hayward had a breakout season last year and cashed in on it. Expect his numbers to go up slightly with the strong Jacksonville defensive line drawing blocking assignments.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
Jaguars DE Reggie Hayward is likely out for the season with an Achilles injury.
Jacksonville isn’t talking about the injury until it’s official, only to say it’s an Achilles problem. Anyone who watches the replay can see that Hayward isn’t coming back anytime soon.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
Jaguars DE Reggie Hayward tore his Achilles Sunday and will need surgery.
He’s out for the season. It’s a tough blow to a Jaguars defense that was to be one of the best for fantasy production. Marcellus Wiley stepped in for Hayward in the opener, but DT Rob Meier could get a chance to start outside.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
Jaguars placed defensive end Reggie Hayward on injured reserve with a torn Achilles’ tendon, ending his season.
Hayward had grown into one of the better defensive ends in the AFC over the last two seasons. Jacksonville has a good replacement in him with Rob Meier, but it’s a major loss for the team’s loaded defense.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
Jaguars DE Reggie Hayward (fractured fibula) has resumed participating in team drills during OTAs.
Hayward missed nearly all of 2009 after breaking his fibula and suffering ligament damage in his ankle in Week 1. With Aaron Kampman and rookies Austen Lane and Larry Hart aboard, the 31-year-old may struggle for a job.
  • JAX Defensive Lineman
The Cardinals will reportedly go hard after Denver DE Reggie Hayward during the offseason.
He could re-team with former teammate Bertrand Berry. Hayward will also be a priority for the Broncos, so look for a bidding war.
