Coach Mike Shanahan fully supported Quentin Griffin after week three.
He blamed the Denver struggles on the run blocking and said he’s fully behind Griffin. Even if he loses some goal-line carries, Griffin will have to struggle for a few more games to lose his job. We think he’ll recover just fine.
  • KC Running Back
The Broncos don’t anticipate Quentin Griffin missing any time because of his ankle injury.
In yet another vote of confidence, the Broncos game Sunday’s gameball to the embattled running back. Griffin is a fine play this week at home versus the Panthers.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin is reportedly completely healthy and running well at Broncos practice.
Reuben Droughns and Griffin are likely to share carries this weekend. Since Droughns is such a good blocker and special teams player, we still believe Griffin will have a significant role.
  • KC Running Back
While Quentin Griffin should be ready to play this week, he may return to a reduced role in the Denver lineup.
We’ll see. Reuben Droughns, if nothing else, earned 8-10 carries as a complementary back. Griffin owners can just hope at this point or try to fleece another owner in their league.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin’s ankle is expected to be healthy enough to play this week.
We’ll see what role Griffin has upon his return. We’d guess he’ll split carries with Reuben Droughns at best this week.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin suffered a torn ACL in Monday night’s game and is out for the season.
Griffin will await an MRI confirmation today, but the Broncos expect the worst. Tatum Bell would move up a spot on the depth chart, while Triandos Luke may get a shot as a kick returner.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin gets his first test as Denver’s primary RB tonight.
According to the Denver media, it’s his job to lose at this point.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin was listed third on Denver’s first official depth chart.
At least he’s ahead of Ron Dayne and Maurice Clarett. Griffin still has a good shot to have a role as a passing-down back in Denver. He should not be wholly ignored in fantasy leagues.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin will sit out Saturday’s preseason opener.
Griffin is close to full-speed, but not quite there. With Maurice Clarett out, Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell, and Ron Dayne will get most of the work.
  • KC Running Back
Quentin Griffin broke several long runs at Broncos practice Monday.
He’s reportedly shaking off some rust after his knee surgeries. Denver is hoping he can be a viable change-of-pace option to their bigger running backs.
