During training camp, quarterback Will Levis told reporters that there aren’t 32 quarterbacks better than him.
But now the league has spoken, and the silence is loud.
Levis went unclaimed on waivers after the Titans let him go over the weekend, according to the league’s transaction wire.
That makes Levis a free agent, eligible to sign with any team or — and this may be more likely at this point — its practice squad.
Levis, 27, did not play in the 2025 season after undergoing surgery to repair a shoulder injury in the summer. He had already been replaced as Tennessee’s starting quarterback by Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick of last year’s draft.
Given his 21 games of starting experience, Levis could potentially be an asset as a reserve quarterback. The No. 33 overall pick of the 2023 draft, Levis has completed 61 percent of his career passes for 3,899 yards with 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He’s also fumbled 17 times, losing 10 of them.
