Even though Giants cornerback Corey Webster cut his compensation in 2013 from $7.25 million to $4 million, the team managed to create another $1.25 million in cap space.
Per a source with knowledge of the contract, Webster’s $7 million base salary and his $250,000 workout bonus became a $1.25 million base salary, a $2.5 million signing bonus, and a $250,000 workout bonus.
Half of the signing bonus moves to a voidable year of 2014, pushing $1.25 million in cap space forward by one year.
