Washington moves on from Jerry Rice Jr.

Jerry Rice Jr. may never get a chance to admit years from now to using stickum in the NFL.

The son of Hall of Famer Jerry Rice was waived Monday by Washington, after spending a season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Also waived by Washington on Monday were nose tackle Isaako Aaitui, linebacker Steve Beauharnais, receiver Braylon Bell, tackle Edawn Coughman, defensive lineman Kenny Horsley, guard Rishaw Johnson, linebacker Gabe Miller, tackle Ty Nsekhe, cornerback Kenny Okoro, and cornerback Trey Wolfe.

Washington also terminated the contracts of linebacker Ricky Sapp and linebacker Austin Spitler.

Rice Jr. signed with Washington last year after being undrafted. Like the son of Hall of Famer Cris Carter, Rice may have to go to Canada to prove himself before getting another shot.
