Stephen Bowen is back on Washington’s roster.
The club has removed Bowen, a ninth-year defensive end, from the physically unable to perform list, the team said Saturday.
To clear the roster spot for Bowen, Washington placed linebacker Akeem Jordan (knee) on injured reserve.
The 30-year-old Bowen missed the first six games of the 2014 campaign after December microfracture knee surgery. Bowen (6-5, 300) was a regular in each of his first three seasons with Washington (2011-2013), making 42 starts in that span.
Jarvis Jenkins and Jason Hatcher are currently Washington’s starting ends. At the least, Hatcher’s return strengthens Washington’s depth upfront.
Washington (1-5) has lost four straight games entering Sunday’s matchup vs. Tennessee (2-4).
