Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle officially inactive for Dolphins-Browns

If the Dolphins are going to keep their postseason chances alive, they’ll have to do it without two of their top players.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and receiver Jaylen Waddle are officially inactive for Sunday’s matchup against the Browns.

Tagovailoa (hip) was limited all week and was downgraded to doubtful on Saturday. Waddle was limited on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable.

Tyler Huntley is expected to start in Tagovailoa’s stead.

But receiver Tyreek Hill, offensive tackle Terron Armstead, and safety Jordan Poyer are all active for Miami.

For Cleveland, Jameis Winston is inactive with a right shoulder injury, though he is the emergency third QB. Bailey Zappe will serve as Cleveland’s backup to Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

Receiver Cedric Tillman, cornerback Chigozie Anusiem, defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo, and tight end David Njoku are also inactive for the Browns.

Miami’s inactives are Tagovailoa, Waddle, linebacker Anthony Walker, cornerback Nik Needham, linebacker Mohamed Kamara, offensive lineman Andrew Meyer, and receiver Erik Ezukanma.
