Patriots quarterback Tom Brady created a stir -- and drew praise from fervent Pats fans -- by declaring earlier this year during a radio interview that he hates the Jets.

Asked about his feelings as the Patriots prepare for the second game of their annual series with the Jets, Brady opted for a more diplomatic response.

“Do I still hate them?” Brady said in comments distributed by the team, repeating the question to buy time and/or to pay homage to Seton O’Connor mimicking Brett Favre. “Well, I promised Coach Belichick that I wouldn’t say anything derogatory, so, I have no comment.”

In other words, yes. He still hates the Jets.

Brady talks more about his feelings vis-a-vis (fancy talk) the Jets during the weekly Rich Eisen podcast at NFL.com. In that setting, Brady was a bit less guarded -- and thus a lot more interesting.
