The Patriots rolled to a 41-25 win over the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday afternoon and one Bills fan appeared to send a message one of the teams about what they could go do to themselves during the third quarter.
As Patriots receiver Chris Hogan was tackled inside the Bills’ five-yard line, a dildo was thrown onto the field just outside the end zone. Hogan said he noticed it, but wasn’t really focused on what it was while Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski said after the game that he thought it was for the Bills.
According to photos posted on Busted Coverage, there was actually a message for Gronkowski’s quarterback Tom Brady written on the synthetic phallus.
“I did see it. Yes I did, I did see it,” Brady said on WEEI Monday. “I thought it was funny the ref didn’t want to pick it up. He was kicking it. Nobody wanted to reach down and grab it. That was very unusual. That was a first. Only in Buffalo. That was very unusual.”
Brady also wondered how someone managed to get the item inside the stadium. That may be something for the Bills to think about, although those of us not charged with stadium security can probably conjure up more pleasant thoughts.
