Tom Brady ditches Nike for UnderArmour

Though Patriots quarterback Tom Brady doesn’t seize every potential marketing dollar like other high-profile NFL players . . . who play quarterback . . . for a team in the AFC South . . . with a horseshoe on its helmet, Brady has his fair share of off-field moneymakers.

His latest? According to Peter King of SI.com, Brady has ditched Nike for UnderArmour.

“Under Armour’s everything I was looking for,’' Brady said. “It’s cool. It’s fun. It’s what so many of the kids are wearing, and I like to try to stay cutting-edge. I like the company. I think we’ve got a lot in common. We both want to stay hungry, stay humble.’'

He’s the first quarterback to join forces with UnderArmour, and King reports that the transaction includes an equity stake for Brady.

There’s no word yet on whether the deal also includes a lifetime supply of hair grooming products.
