Todd Wade Hanging Up His Cleats

Veteran offensive tackle Todd Wade has apparently played his final NFL football game. The former Washington Redskins, Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins blocker has informed Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com that he plans to retire. Per the report, Wade has been dealing with lingering leg injuries. Wade was with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season, but didn’t play in any games. Drafted in the second round by the Dolphins nine years ago, Wade started 96 career games. A former Ole Miss standout, Wade praised Baltimore Ravens rookie offensive tackle Michael Oher and Atlanta Falcons rookie defensive tackle Peria Jerry. Both former Rebels were drafted in the first round. “They’re great kids and are going to be great players,” Wade said.
