The lockout combined with a down 2010 season is making it tough for the Titans to sell tickets. That’s notable because this simply hasn’t happened in Nashville in the past.
The Titans usually sell out all their single-game tickets in a few hours. They made them available last week, and not a single game is sold out yet. The situation isn’t nearly as dire as it is in Tampa or Jacksonville, but the change is significant. The team remains optimistic they will avoid blackouts.
“We’re encouraged that we’ll be able to sell out all of our home games,” Marty Collins, the team’s senior director of ticketing, told the Tennessean.
There are also far more tickets available on the secondary market, although the rate of renewal for season tickets remained strong.
