Vince Young’s status with the Titans is under some dispute.

What’s inarguable: Tennessee is in big trouble at quarterback with Young on injured reserve and Kerry Collins likely a few weeks away from returning from a calf injury.

Tennessee signed Chris Simms on Tuesday, and he’ll back up Rusty Smith against the Texans. Tennessee also activated David Thornton off the PUP list.

We wouldn’t be shocked to see Simms get some playing time in the next few weeks. Smith looked badly out of his element during his brief appearance against Washington. He threw seven passes and four easily could have been picked off.
